The 46th Annual Jack and Jill Le Beautillion Militaire in Mobile, Alabama TT: drsetitoff #BlackAmericans

Over 100 million Americans can't read above a 6th grade level. Just insane.

Gavin Newsom’s wife on how she raises her kids: “I've given our boys dolls…if I'm reading a book and the protagonist is a male, I just change the 'he' to a 'she.'” x.com/mazemoore/stat…

"By 2024, 3 out of 4 boys and half of girls don’t disagree w/ the idea that it’s best if men are the achievers & women take care of the home and family. Those numbers are all-time highs in the history of the survey." @jean_twenge

I thought the Jaden Ivey stuff was funny then today I saw this and it is not funny anymore

A Chicago mom started a "REAL WORLD" summer camp: Kids go to grocery, laundry, even a cemetery. And they find their way via public transit. THE KIDS LOVE IT! The parents are GRATEFUL! The clothes are CLEAN! letgrow.org/real-world-sum…

HOLY CR*P 🚨 Minnesota Rep Krista Knudsen says they just found out the state TURNED OFF tracking for money being sent overseas They turned it on for 2 weeks. Saw all the money leaving, and Democrats quickly SHUT OFF TRACKING to allow it to keep happening READ THAT AGAIN “Today in the fraud committee, the Department of Human Services testified that they haven't been tracking the IP addresses of money that's being literally flown out of our state and where it's going. They did turn on that reporting for 2 weeks, and they found that yes, a lot of those IP addresses were tied to overseas computers, and then they quickly shut it off after just 2 weeks of seeing where this money is actually going” “Every time we turn around, it's just more and more fraud scandals in our state”

The housing market is so bad that people are moving to the Midwest

We now have evidence that a cooperative marriage doesn't work. Men, your wives need imposed consequences. If she resists, you force her. This is the only way to create connection. A marriage needs structure, and you must set limits on your wife. The more force, the stronger the bond. If we want a healthy, connected, and mutually beneficial relationship, then as husbands, we need to be in control. The studies are clear: to be an effective husband, you need to push through the difficulty. You need to use words like "structure," "boundaries," and "limits," because if we say "coercion," "force," and "manipulation," some people might start questioning the data.

It's not just phonics: Schools have failed to teach reading because they ignore 50+ years of findings in cognitive psychology that reading depends on general knowledge. ED Hirsch has been banging this drum for a long time but Ed Schools shut their ears because the whole idea was unromantic & had a vaguely right-wing aroma. Now he joins with Dan Willingham to make a strong case that kids can't read if they don't have the background knowledge that makes sense of the rarer vocabulary, allusions, and understandings that allow us to read between the lines - which all reading requires. educationnext.org/rediscovering-…

It should never take a parent knowing more than the school to make sure their child learns to read. But sadly, that’s still the reality for far too many families. We need knowledgeable leaders who are willing to face the evidence and finally put ineffective practices like Reading Recovery behind us for good.

Dramatic increase in autism program utilization in Minnesota. Is this a true increase in autism rates or some other reporting/diagnosis factor or just fraud? Are other states seeing this? (This is not a political question).

I think that folks don’t grasp the degree to which science and social studies is completely pushed out of the curriculum. The stuff kids don’t know would shock most educated adults.
