Here are only a few of the amazing women of the Thornton Police Department, this #NationalPoliceWomensDay. Some work in patrol, detectives, training, and even in schools. But all of them risk their lives every day to work for you. The Thornton PD boasts a 19% of our officers are women when the national average is 12%. As a department, we are enriched and simply made better by having these remarkable ladies in our ranks. Happy National Police Women's Day to all of the ladies of law enforcement in Thornton and across our nation. #TPDhonors

@ShannonBird4CO This is the worst law. It seems so unsafe. I have seen motorcycle accidents and it terrifies me when I see this happen. And it’s usually not in a safe way. It’s usually at top speed.

I did not support passage of this law because I believe that it will make our roads less safe for motorcyclists and motorists alike. That said, people should know about the law and understand when lane filtering is allowed.
