@ClaireCoutinho So Reeves had Soviet scheme to cap food prices, probably about as real as your proclaimed meat tax

@EstherMcVey1 It is a far flung fantasy. Norway have a significant state ownership unlike the UK, where the Tories sold it off

One way out of the UK’s financial problems is to drill in the North Sea, to release the black gold under our noses and get money going into the exchequer. This isn’t a far flung fantasy, it is precisely what Norway is doing with its oil deposits in the North Sea which is making their country very wealthy and energy self-sufficient.    So typically, instead of doing just that, Miliband and Starmer are doing the exact opposite. As part of Labour’s Energy Independence Bill they are banning all new oil exploration and drilling licenses in the North Sea ‘to take control of our energy security’ and to be a ‘clean energy super power’ by 2030! Deluded.   These idiots are utterly deluded. When Starmer finally goes, is it too much to hope that Miliband is forced out too!

Alarm clock Britain is sick of paying out for Benefits Street. But Starmer bottled welfare reform - and Labour MPs won’t back it. I write in @CapX 👇

🚨It’s confirmed: Victory in Reform’s campaign to axe Reeves’s fuel duty hike. But it’s only a stay of execution. She says she’ll increase it in December. Maybe she’s not expecting to be around then? Well, Reform will scrap it altogether.

@2wheelsgoodBrum @MarkMarksson In that illustration the vehicle has just overtaken the cyclist which is not what tge HC states. In that case the motorist would be cutting across the cyclist.

@MarkMarksson @Heilghast73 It's not Mark. It's clearly intended to apply in the section on cyclists turning. That's why it's in the section on turning. That's because that's very high-risk. It's not in the section in going straight on. And H3 explains clearly what cyclist and driver should do.

@SarahForRuncorn If Burnham is using Makerfield as a stepping stone, how about those Tories elected in 2024 who jumped ship to Reform Ltd without calling a bi-election.

@CPhilpOfficial Starmer stated in PMQ's that existing sanctions remain in place and have no been changed. That this is a new set of sanctions which being phased in. The problem I have is believing anything a Tory like you says.

Shamefully, the Govt is lifting sanctions on products derived from Russian oil At the same time they’re refusing to open up new oil and gas in the North Sea Labour and Ed Miliband are so fanatical they’d rather buy Putin’s oil than drill our own gov.uk/government/pub…

“For Andy Burnham, Makerfield will be a stepping stone, but for me it’s the only place I’ve ever wanted to represent” - Reform’s Robert Kenyon And that is all you need to know. Burnham doesn’t care about Makerfield. Robert does.

@RobertJenrick @Nigel_Farage Wow, did you force a vote in the HoC with all your 8 MPs. You forced nothing. It wasn't a U-turn, the temporary reduction in fuel tax was due to end later in the year. Due to the US/Iran war causing oil prices to soar, which your Ltd Co supported, the increase isn't going ahead

@AnthonyLiot @markrally @OctopusEnergy If you are too much in credit, you can request it back. Alternatively you could reduce your DD accordingly. Never had a problem with Octopus when I was with them, only left due to a much better Eco7 tariff.

This is welcome news for drivers struggling with rising costs. It’s staggering it took so long for Labour to admit raising fuel duty would be another blow for families across the country. Yet again we have forced Labour to do the right thing. That is responsible opposition.

Shoulda, woulda, coulda. And when I urged him to use his position as PM to leave the ECHR so we could stop the boats, he refused. He couldn’t even bring himself to put it in the Tory manifesto. Yet he kept promising the British people that he would do ‘whatever it takes’! Never trust the Tory Party.
David Frost@DavidGHFrost

It's no good complaining now. Rishi Sunak had every chance to set out a vision during his two years as Prime Minister. The Tory Party would absolutely have got behind a properly conservative view. Instead we got nothing for a year, & then A-level reform and the smoking ban.
