Digital ID has nothing to do with immigration, just think critically for 3 seconds. Britain currently has up to 1 million illegal immigrants. Many, if not most, are known to the authorities. And yet they're still here. The reason they're here is NOT that we can't identify them (the problem Digital ID is supposed to solve), the problem is that we won't deport them even when we know who they are. This is not about immigration, it's about building CONTROL INFRASTRUCTURE. It's why Blair tried and failed to push them through 20 years ago. Imagine that governments which routinely arrest people for jokes and memes, locked people in their homes during COVID and think half the country is "far right" have these tools at its disposal. And, some of you are convinced half the country really is "far right" and are about to elect that evil fascist Herr Farage. You want him to have this control infrastructure at his disposal? This needs to be opposed by everyone across the political spectrum. It has nothing to do with what you're being told: Starmer is lying to you and so are his media lackeys.

@RogersHistory I left a toxic job after just one half term. It was either that or a nervous breakdown. Sometimes, you just have to.

I can see a few peeps saying I'm crap (again) because I've changed jobs a fair few times. Yes... I quit 1 job due to workload/stress after going off on sick (at Christmas). I quit another job half way through a term because it was utterly awful (before Christmas). These 2 jobs I quit with no job to go to. Walked away. Had a terrible break up that nearly ruined me and lived at home for a time (thanks mum), worked short term contracts and supply for a time. Career journey (with supply in between): 5 years, 3 years, 6 months out, 3 years, 10 months, 2 months, 2 months, 2 months, 18 months, 18 months, now starting another. Most of these great schools and great experiences. Open about it all. Not ashamed. Proud of how I've dug in at times. Call me whatever you like, I only care what the students I've taught in these schools think.

@PrimaryCoHead I once had some plastering work done whilst I was away - it was the only time the plasterer could make it. Came home to such an unbelievable mess, I cried! I hate coming home to chaos.

@JM_Sievert Definitely! If you have the space, go for it. The laundry smells so much better after being outside. Best way to dry heavy blankets and towels, IMO.

@Englishomestead I visited a local pub a while ago that advertised itself as being 'dog friendly'. Fine in a bar, but one was taken into the restaurant area and was jumping up at our table as we were eating. This crossed a line, IMO.
