@The_Real_Fly Trump promised no new wars.
Trump has done everything he can to start a war.
I used to think he was not a pedophile client of Epstein.
This has convinced me that he is.
"Wallah… tu vas pas tirer

Don't be fooled by the rally this week in risk-markets. When you take a look under the hood, you will see that SMART money is 'only' jumping back into the big tech names (MAG7 purple). Right now the bonds are still pricing in 100bp of cuts and the Russell(orange) is massively lagging .
When you look at the rebasing you can see very clearly that this bounce is driven by tech. The coast is not clear. Until the NFP print is confirmed as a one-off, the odds of a recession are growing. The makes it very likely we have more spikes coming in the VIX and a new higher level of volatility is here to stay.

The first one on the list will take a while to get through, but is very much worthwhile.
Admittedly, this is a list that appeals to those who think about Rome every day.
I hope someone makes an audiobook of The Encyclopedia of Military History by Dupuy and The Fifteen Decisive Battles of the World by Creasy.
This to me is the most important chart to watch in the post Covid-19 recovery, and France has the best statistics.
Household savings ratio jumped 4.5pp in Q1.
