Nerfs, buffs, bugs, feature tests; I've been playing Marathon pretty consistently since launch. The most recent patch 1.0.6.2 has introduced intermittent lock-ups starting at the sony logo splash screen, persisting into gameplay. Unplayable for now, hope next patch is fixes it.

Lowest tier: if I press the red button I live Midwit tier: I have to press the blue button because I cannot read Above average tier: I will press red because that’s the smart thing to do Smart tier: I will press the blue button because I understand the problem but I am also smart enough to realize not enough people understand the problem. By pressing the blue button and siding with the midwits, I can save them from their own stupidity. Genius tier: I will press the red button. I will survive and hopefully all the morons will die.

@judgeshowgames @PlankReturns Blue majority doesn't negatively impact red voters. It's the ideal outcome regardless of your individual vote. Hypothetically vote however you like, there is no obligation.

@Syzler3 @PlankReturns "Have fun trying to empathically communicate to 4 billion people to choose blue." Pretty clear that you didnt understand the hypothetical, coordination isn't a variable. Your perception of risk/cost is nonexistent unless it's personal, then you dont understand risk/cost either.

@Herb_bug @PlankReturns The funniest thing is always when people say shit like "oh you need 100% red to save everyone" like thats an issue red considers. No lol. I only need 1 vote to save myself. Have fun trying to empathically communicate to 4 billion people to choose blue.

@Herb_bug @VGBC_GimR It’s impossible to get 100% red not harder it’s statistically impossible. Even taking away children at least one person would still slip and hit blue

Blues: come on guys, if we just get over 50% we can save everyone! Reds: if you press blue, you’re just killing yourself. No one has made a single coherent argument as to why I should press it. If everyone just pressed it no one is in danger. And you know what!? Blues are actually the immoral ones because- Blues: what about children? Many of them will select a button at random. Reds:

Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press? BE HONEST.

@SimoneSyed You haven't considered that some people have just enough faith that blue will be the majority result but not enough faith to risk their life on the uncertainty. Voting for the minority is unintuitive but is isn't impossible that some will reason that way.

@PlankReturns Not really, you're attributing intelligence to hoping people would die without fronting the risk. There is no altruism in wishing for the death of idiots, they are not devoid of value. Vote red if you must and hope that more than 50% vote blue, blue majority is the ideal result

@Yatoplayz In every iteration of a blue majority scenario, the red votes become irrelevant so they feel justified in not fronting the cost/risk. The cost/risk is always blue voter lives. 100% red is highly unlikely without coordination so blue majority is ideal outcome for both parties.

@Prazkat The cost and risk is always blue voters lives. Blue majority is the safest outcome, as 100% red is much harder to achieve. Most "should" vote blue due to this conclusion but red votes aren't dangerous unless more than 50% of the population feel overwhelmed by uncertainty.

Presionas rojo.

@AdinitiumR @liminal_warmth I can't explain it more clearly to you. We agree that a blue majority is the best outcome. I'm just detailing that a red voter may not necessarily want the majority and doesn't intentionally "vote red to kill blue voters." Is that so hard to understand?

@Herb_bug @liminal_warmth There is no symetry in this case, which is what I think you were trying to imply, really hard to tell though. Reds winning imply a world of just reds left- just defectors - blue wins implies we wake up in the same world tommorow. One is objectivelly worse than the other.

I hope all the red button pushers will enjoy their new world without empathetic and prosocial people (and significantly fewer women). Good luck with that

@AdinitiumR @liminal_warmth What are you arguing here? The blue majority scenario is already established you dont need to repeat it. No one suggested blue wants to be in the minority. Color perception is irrelevant. You might just be a moron though.

@Herb_bug @liminal_warmth Mate, the logic unfound in your sentence structure is equally unfound in your reasoning. Blue wins, all live, even the reds. In no world does Blue ever want to be the minority, Red on the other hand does. You might just be colorblind though.

@RaraSensei @WokeFDR You are inferring that from what you've understood from the hypothetical, but it isn't an absolute truth.
