I interviewed all of the best creative strategists in the world. @binghott. @iamshackelford. @DenneyDara. @sourfraser. @MatthewGattozzi. @pkennedy93 @thedennis. @harrydelmege_. @heyitsalexP. (thank you so much guys, you're all the best) If you read this document you will be able to become, train, & hire the best advertiser/creative strategist in the world. I promise you that. Hiring and training creative strategists is one of the most expensive mistakes you can make if you get it wrong. So I asked the best in the world: what separates the ones who actually produce winners from everyone else. I wrote it all up in one doc. I put a lot of time into this and there literally 0 AI, just 14 pages of straight sauce. reply "STRAT" and I'll send it over.

I made a list of 50+ live advertorials you can analyze. You can get insights into brands that invested tons of $$ into testing and improving their funnel. These are pages that are currently live and running. Last time I shared this for free, no one appreciated it. This time, if you want it in the next 24 hours: Comment "50" on the post and I'll DM you the link.

Advertorials are absolutely 𝗖𝗥𝗨𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 in the space.... In 2025, you can’t afford to ignore them. We've often seen 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 landing pages by huge differences... So, I made a swipe file compiling 30+ Advertorials you can (copy + paste) on your store. Best part? It's 100% editable figma file. To get it, like + comment "Me", and I'll send it to you. (follow so I can dm)

What's the difference between a $1M brand and a $10M dollar brand? We broke down 1 billion dollars in ad spend between $1M brands and $10M brands. The differences are shocking. Let's take a look 👇

@UgcSam Story of my life lol, I’m convinced meta just doesn’t know and needs forced spends to discover high spenders + existing high spendings can chock/prevent new ones from being found

FWIW - Ran a Meta creative test. 4 Versions. The top spender was a loser, turned it off, then an OG non-spender became a BIG WINNER Conclusion - Meta doesn't always know best Conclusion 2 - Nobody knows anything Conclusion 3 - If someone says they know better, run.

We’ve just replaced our entire hook testing process with VEO 3 and the CTR lift is insane. Here’s the exact play we’re running right now with ChatGPT + JSON prompts in Veo 3 to pump out high-performing hook variations in minutes: 1️⃣ Start with a proven ad Either: → A best-performer you want to keep scaling → Or a creative with potential but low thumbstop (<30%) 2️⃣ Pull the core angle + script Extract the main idea, script, and visual flow. This is your “seed”. Example: first-person POV spooning creatine → we turned it into 10x more chaotic visual ideas. 3️⃣ Prompt ChatGPT for Veo-style hooks Prompt: “You’re a creative strategist at a top D2C agency. Based on this product, angle, and persona, give me 3–5 Veo 3-style hooks for Meta ads.” Feed it: → Brand → Product + benefit → Core angle → Persona → Script/framework link Output should be movement-heavy, cinematic, pattern-interrupt style setups. 4️⃣ Approve, then convert to JSON Pick the best hook and say: “Turn this into a Veo 3 JSON script format, but wait for my approval before generating.” JSON forces precision: → Camera type/movement → Character details → Lighting/style → Dialogue tone → Constraints (no logos/text/music) 5️⃣ Drop into Veo 3 and generate → Text to Video in Google Gemini > Flow → V3 Fast, 10p per shot, skip Quality mode (slower, no big gains) 6️⃣ Repeat fast Test extremes: → Absurd (spoon on a rollercoaster) → Relatable (whiteboard explainer) → Visual metaphors (“brain fog” → room filling with smoke) We pulled 7 hooks in 20 minutes last week using this loop. Concept → generate → launch. 💬 Retweet this post Comment “robot” and I’ll send you the FULL prompt. (make sure you're following) 🎥 Full demo in D2C Diaries Ep 42 on YouTube.

Join my small agency growth group. We will talk over methods to grow our business. Cold email, content creation. I have an agency called @ShowroomDelfina We have been in business for 17.5 years we have 8 clients. Our monthly revenues are low to mid 6 figures. Was much higher a few years back. Plan is to get back there. You’re welcome to join even if we compete. We will discuss growing our biz. The group will be in Twitter DMs.

This one ad did $2,083,268.42 in spend. One base ad. 257 iterations. Still scaling. At the DTC Summit (thanks @johnhickey1970 ) I showed founders how we make 600+ ads a week. But every single one of them had the same question: “…but how do I make ONE good ad?” So I put it all in a free guide. The $1M Evergreen Ad Formula. It shows you: -How to make an amazing base ad -How to iterate the juice out of it + the exact ad we ran And the BEST part is you can execute this guide TODAY with your founder, an iPhone and a mic. Comment “1mil” and I’ll DM you the guide. (Just follow so I can message you.)

@johnhickey1970 Agencies sell cost/bid caps because they can blame bad creatives, and creatives is what most agencies sell nowadays. So it’s in their interest to get clients to use bc/cc.

Bidding strategy you’ve used to go from 0 to 20 or 30 million in fb ads Agencies most likely you have never scaled a branch from 0 to 20,000,000 please sit this one out

This is still an ongoing issue btw Don’t know how it’s not a massive talking point in DTC right now So many people getting screwed and have no idea about it
Jacob@jforjacob

I've found what is causing this. It seems to be an issue with Sky Broadband's default DNS (which seems to be really bad with Shopify stores / Cloudfare traffic) perhaps something @Shopify or Cloudfare can talk to Sky about But for now easy fix is just changing your DNS settings if you've been one of the many effected (although this won't fix customers not being able to reach your website, at least you'll be able to see your own and others) If on Mac: Go to System Settings → Network → select your Wi-Fi → click Details → DNS tab. Change to: 1.1.1.1 1.0.0.1 If on Windows: Go buy a Mac

Was having a meeting with my strategist today, looking over the ad account to see what is and isn't working Looking at an image ad set, 6 creatives, all wildly different spend and performance Decided to take a few minutes to analyse what the difference was and try and take some learning Realised there had been a fuck up and the exact same variant had been uploaded into that ad set 6 times And I mean the difference in performance was night and day, 3 of them had got decent spend. One had great ROAS, one had decent ROAS, the other was brutal. The other 3 didn't get much spend, a few sales but not much to talk about and all low ROAS Really makes me question my trust in Meta Did one just hit a 'hot pocket' early and that's why it performed and continued to get spend and the others didn't? Imagine I had just launched it on it's own and it didn't get strong signals at the start, likely would not win any spend after first few $ spent This is one of many reasons I'm a big advocate of minimum spends on ad sets in a CBO once you get to a decent level of creative volume and scale. Too easy for creatives to go missing in there and Meta to show bias to things that get strong signals after just a few impressions. I really don't believe Meta can tell whether something is a winner or not after just a few $ spent. If it hits a bad pocket of people in those first few impressions it will likely never see the light of day again. Of course a real winner has a high likelihood of getting strong signals from the very start, but definitely not all the time. Have too many examples where this just wasn't the case

I'm spending about $375-425k /month across TV, Facebook, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat media buying for our 2 media buying brands...  Managing media buyer role all by myself. Brand is doing 40m this year. I wonder how many of you are doing media buying at that level for your own brand? there's tons of us in-house folks out there, but we're kinda isolated.  i've got great agency contacts, but sometimes you just need to bounce ideas off someone who actually runs their own campaigns. we grew 55% this year, 189% in 2024, 287% in 2023.  Million ways to do it. this approach works…. But I know someone is doing it better. So I'm starting a Slack for brand owners/in-house marketers to share what's working, save time small hacks or tricks don't need my spend or growth to join, could be way better or worse. just gotta be someone who understands that when things go south its on you to fix it. who's in?

@jforjacob Same experience from us, non of their features work as smoothly as they advertise. The ads created is worse than that an offshore video editor can do for the same price. The only upside is at least we know who’s advise can’t be trusted when it comes to recommendations

Icon is a a bit of a farce Signed up to see if it would live up to the hype. It doesn’t Doesn’t do anywhere near what they say it does Examples: Paying for 100 ads a week to be automatically generated. Been onboard for around 2 weeks now. It’s made a grand total of 3 ads (all bad) “Launch ads with one click” this is a blatant lie, not possible. Also huge limitations in what you actually have control over when launching Also, no show from their team for the onboarding call. Poor form Avoid
