IBM’s CEO hates white people. He won’t hire them on merit. This is the issue all the visa bros dance around. They claim Indians are better, when in reality, they hate white men and discriminate against them.
The Washington Post@washingtonpost

IBM has agreed to pay the U.S. government $17 million to settle DOJ allegations that the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion policies violated antidiscrimination laws. wapo.st/4tipiLi

Those past immigrants were of European heritage and culture from societies with average IQs at 100+. Today's immigrants are from third-world heritage (such as they have any) and culture (such as they have any) with average IQs in the 70s. These are not the same immigrants.
@jason@Jason

To the low-IQ racists in this thread, may I say you deserve a raise from Putin, Xi or whoever is paying you to ferment racial hatred in America. It’s not gonna work… Americans love hard working immigrants — since that’s who built America to being with!

@dragonboy1968 @gaming_granpa @TheBrancaShow Ok make your country better than if you’re so amazing! Most Indians are tech which pays way more so not indicative of intelligence especially since most of you practice nepotism and hire each other over non-Indians

India deadass doesn't allow worker visas to translate into permanent residence, but both Indians and their government are outraged that our ridiculously generous program isn't even more generous. The more you learn, the more you learn that we're being played for suckers.

Most foreign nationals on H-1B attend our universities — meaning we are not importing talent but warm bodies. Additionally, 83% of H1-B holders are filling entry level jobs requiring 0-4 years experience (using prevailing wages 1 & 2). American citizens are unemployed and can perform these roles. That should matter.

H-1B was built in 1990 when your “talent pool” was whoever could drive to your office. There was no Zoom. No remote. Three decades later, that excuse is dead. We’re laying off tech workers en masse. If your pitch is “not one American can do this so we need the visa,” that's not a shortage, that's a discount.

@kangminlee Thank you. I get so annoyed when people make excuses for Muslim countries and say well America ruined them. No, it is on Muslim backwards culture that ruined them. Look at Egypt just 40 years ago or Lebanon. When they were Christian or secular countries, they thrived

@HansTheElder @ReaperCapital On one of the tech teams I worked with, there was one Mexican woman, and all of the Indians (entire team) ganged up on her and got her fired because she would tell the truth all the time

@ReaperCapital I had a team of Mexicans working for me once out of CDMX. One guy who was one of the best employees I ever had, had a genuinely terrible time trying to actually come to the US to work on an H1B because we kept hiring inept Indians for our US office for some reason.

Here's a list of "geniuses" I've worked with, 100% useless as fuck, 100% H1bs: - Chick with the title "Data Scientist" who strictly knew how to use google sheets. Like could not code. Couldn't use tableau, couldn't use SQL, and I had to show her how to make charts in google sheets after I got sick of doing her job for her. - Guy who's only job was running 3 morning standups, "SCRUM MASTER" and then wrote all the notes in JIRA because engineers didn't want to do it. Then after 11am spent entire day in Diversity Club meetings, and wandering around the office bothering people asking them if they wanted to go to Happy Hour at 3pm. - Guy I was forced to manage who slept at his desk all day long and I tried to fire him multiple times and they wouldn't let me for some reason, until COVID thank fucking god. Never actually did one thing in 4 months. - Employee I inherited who had a masters degree (allegedly) but could not make a powerpoint and/or google slides presentation? Like how? This was a very very large part of college, and even high school. - Entire chinese risk team who pretended they could only use R, and kept saying "We only use R" when management would send them excel / sheets / even .csvs (?????). Like they could only literally work with or open .rmd or .r files. How are you even alive? So then we hired a guy who's only job was like to be their intermediary, but he couldn't speak chinese he was like German or French or something, so they talked to each other via translator all day. All day at an America company you talk to 10 chinese people via translate while they talk about you in front of you in chinese. Yeah this is genius work were doing here guys - Then that guy above could kinda speak english so they had him meeting with management about risk modeling, and something got lost in translation because our models were so fucking far off that we just started bleeding $10s of thousands a day, which led to all of these "geniuses" getting fired. Never gonna guess who had to pick up the pieces for all these geniuses (I have a bachelors degree from a state school)

@ReaperCapital The reason so many got hired during the pandemics as there was so much cheating. They use the fact that they didn’t have to be in person to hire others to do their work to hire others to do their interviews. It was honestly ridiculous.

This is a body blow for people planning to settle in the US. Have been telling this for a long time, the US has decided it's not going to be the home for the best and the brightest. It's their country. That's their call. No point in pushing them. Only option is for us to make India the best and the brightest. Remove the US from your thoughts and start planning for India. This is the way.
Homeland Security@DHSgov

An alien who is in the U.S. temporarily and wants a Green Card must return to their home country to apply. This policy allows our immigration system to function as the law intended instead of incentivizing loopholes. The era of abusing our nation’s immigration system is over.

@TurnSeattleRed All tech companies are now 60-70% Indian. I’m regularly in elevators where the entire elevator is nothing but Indians. Go to the lunchroom all Indians. Let me just tell you they’re not here because of talent that’s all nepotism.

@arnavsahu341 Why do Indians expect special treatment? I’m an immigrant also and we took much longer to get citizenship. You’re coming on a temporary visa. Temporary. No one owes you a green card because you keep extending the temporary status you have.

Took me 8 years to get a green card. And that’s only because I did a special petition via EB1. I know of people who’ve been in the country for 25 years, have kids and still don’t have a green card.
Trevor Blackwell@tlbtlbtlb

People may not know that the processing time for green card applications are months to years. So someone could come on a O-1 or H-1B, work for 5 years, become critical in their role, apply, and then have to abandon their job. Incredibly harmful to US industry.
