@kingconnor24 @Districtburner Parascak was a huge risk to take with his skating ability and I honestly doubt it works out with him. When I saw the training camp clips of his skating a year ago I was actually stunned how bad it was, normally our skating projects work tho we’ll see

@Smackitals @HagelinLiker @Shae_Nuge93 Oshie is a decent comparison but Leno is a better skater and has a way better shot, while oshies stick skill is way ahead of lenos. Oshie was also really good at defense and Leno is horrible but that can grow. I see a higher ceiling than Oshie for Leno but a lower floor too

On face value, Washington looks like a team with wheels. My bigger concern isn’t pure top-end speed — it’s change of direction, first-step acceleration, and overall foot speed.
They also play a pretty boring brand of hockey, which I’m fine with, but it doesn’t always translate to looking fast.

IMO, I don't think it's the top three most entertaining in hockey, it's the top one, and it's the top 10 in all sports.
He was a showman, knew it, and could back it up. At a time when the NHL desperately needed it too.

@CJC_95 He was like Forsberg, Bure, and Brett Hull combined into one player. Wish we’d had more seasons of it. He was still exciting afterwards, but man those first three, or really first five seasons, were some of the most entertaining sports one athlete has ever delivered

@MattDeLuca @averagecapsfan I will say if you simmed the 2010-2020 seasons 100 times the caps only winning one cup is like a 5th percentile outcome. Had the best team in the league like 3 or 4 times and the year we won the cup was not one of them

@averagecapsfan Yea 2010 is the greatest what if season in NHL history. Caps should have been a Red Wings-esque dynasty. The fact we only got ONE Cup is shocking in retrospect.

8 goals saved over three games - yeah that sounds about right. Three games that literally destroyed that Caps team for years afterwards. The older I get the more I’m convinced this was the single worst Caps loss of all time by a wide margin.
