@SanJoseDOT Ocala Ave's problem is speed! The road is wide which invites speeding! Add multiple crossings where school kids and pedestrians cross make this a bad combination. A median to reduce the lane width is a step in the right direction. But reducing speed is key.

DOT is fortunate to have received a grant that will help us boost safety on our streets, including Ocala Avenue. Improvements like updated traffic signals and a raised median are coming. Read our blog post to learn more: bit.ly/hsip-23-blog.
