Pretty much all the daughters of the richest Boston families go to Winsor for high school, where about half or more typically get into Ivy League schools. The "welding" they learn is pottery or curling, just something to put on the CV to look well-rounded.

So… just went through the emails (DoJ put up a $10 million, ‘had’ to see what they were going on about), and this is probably the first or second time I’ve seen someone come off better from a leak public perception wise. They cover from about 2010 to 2014, as Kash transitioned from a private attorney to a DoD attorney, to a DoJ attorney. Right off the bat, he’s just a normal dude, there’s really nothing salacious in these leaks. He has plenty of friends, he seems well-liked by his colleagues, he’s a doting uncle, he pays his taxes and is properly concerned about municipal ordinances. He also plays hockey pretty well it seems (but we already knew that, since a TikToker pointed out that he was their team’s assistant coach last year). He didn’t do any government business from his private emails (actually, the closest thing I can see to a violation in that regard is that a few of his colleagues shared photos from a work trip to Cuba to his personal email from their government emails, but they didn’t share anything classified or something of the sort). He also might be smarter than his public persona lets on — back in 2010 (before he was a government attorney, so this isn’t something illegal), he tried his hand at being a commodities broker. The deal he was working on fell-through, but the brokerage of goods between countries isn’t really something that the overwhelming majority of people even consider doing (and he was trying to do it as a side-gig thing).

@vixologist Mike got in his feelings and blocked me during the Yen carry blowout last summer. Some people are such pussies aka those who sell vol call spreads for a living then cry about it when someone calls them out. I’m just here to talk shit and take points.
Locu$t Fund$@LocustFunds

$VIX above 30 has room to 35–37 w staggered wings btw 40-45-50-70. $UVXY short term future VX vol has a bullish structure btwn 55-53 w deep IWM at 50. Above 60 I see more staggered wings at 65–70–75–80. $SPY $SPX don’t be stupid 🚨

This is NOT $UVXY T/A! (it's also not a prediction or advice)😜 But as a decade+ long, constant watcher of UVXY, this is not what a spike top has looked like in the past. Had we never exceeded the high on Mar10 I might have said the peak was in. I recall @CordovaTrades asking me almost daily during the heat of the COVID spike "how about tomorrow?" Each time I saw a failed top, it seemed still have another 10%+ upside left in it. That Mar9 daily candle looks like a textbook "flush-out" for past 50%+ spikes above ATLs, but the fall-off has historically been lasting and that's not what we're seeing here (e.g. double vol tops have never been a thing.) However this is not a normal spike, as its fate is largely dictated by one person and the market can only guess. Be careful out there 😨

Not to be more of a stick in the mud than usual, but neither USMC/USA nor the IDF have figured out a reliable solution to the FPV problem (specifically the fibre-optic cable guided FPVs). Quite frankly, no one has — everyone just uses shotguns. There’s really no quick fix for this unless DARPA’s wizards figure out how to miniaturize high-powered microwaves to a degree that’d make Nikola Tesla blush with envy.

Ground operation in Iran would be hell. Cheap FPV drones eliminate a lot of advantages that a developed military and well trained infantry such as American has. And it will be televised. I have been working with multiple units in Ukraine trying to minimize the impact of cheap fpv and bomber drones on the battlefield. We tried many things, from radars, shotguns, net guns, lasers, EW. Pretty much nothing works, there is no tech that can deterministically eliminate the threat. You can only minimize it, and we aren't talking about 80 percent mitigation, we are talking about 30 percent if you are lucky. Only physical barriers at the positions work effectively.
OSINTtechnical@Osinttechnical

An Iranian-backed militia carried out a successful FPV drone strike on Camp Victory in Iraq yesterday, successfully hitting multiple targets. Seen here, one of the FPV attack munitions hits a parked UH-60 Black Hawk.

@IASAIV @teortaxesTex I believe that would be limited by vision and vision range. You can't really respond in the time that you get a tick, the jet would be over you. You must be able to track it for atleast few seconds to target it.

man, if Iranians detected and mission killed an F-35 without some asinine non-reproducible one-off trickery, this must be the biggest American loss in this war (SO FAR). China will study the method and scale it up. Buh-bye Aerospace Republic. I am in disbelief.
Lucky Bear@Luckybeargod

@teortaxesTex The brief visible damage ironically makes me think this might be legit. With engine and control surfaces intact, it's not out of the question that it could cruise out. Of note, she looks in full afterburner before the hit, clear Mach disks. Running hard. I think they knew.

do I think that CAHSR and the state of California have had issues with this project? of course, and I have talked about the problems in multiple videos at this point. But also this project is still the farthest along high speed rail project in the country, and thats why its the boogie man to them. By the way, they are now laying rail on the track bed, its further along than you'd thing based on the singular image that chuds keep posting over and over youtube.com/watch?v=mMM3hO…

there are so many astroturfed conservatives against CAHSR because the second that there is a working train between 2 cities in the US that can hit 200mph it is fundamentally over for the argument of "that doesn't work here" The oil lobby will do everything possible to stop that

"People" being 25-40 year olds who are renting, so about 15-20% of the population. The 65% who own homes are not wanting a crash. A crash isn't the answer to affordability. It's a temporary "fix" that allows the current renter cohort to become home buyers during a "crash window". There are fixes to home affordability that are long-term sustainable and don't involve wiping out equity based wealth for 65% of American's. Waiting for the market to "crash" is copium and prevents people from actually doing the things required to make housing affordable, much of which is coordinated political action.

Two simultaneous threads may (definitely) exceed my current mental capacity lmao. I mean the little quads too, those things are scary now but imagine if every vehicle has a next gen ACS Bullfrog on it. Are you still gonna get little FPVs like that or are you gonna be dealing with faster and more maneuverable versions to try to get past the defenses?
