Good news for Mumbaikars ! Making Mumbai Metro more convenient for commuters. Strengthening last-mile connectivity through digital mobility integration. Metro tickets can now be booked directly through the Uber app via ONDC, helping citizens plan their journeys easily and connect seamlessly with last-mile transport options. Metro ticketing is already available across several ONDC platforms including Yatri, Ixigo, Navi, EMT, Tummoc, Tripozo, One Ticket, Autope, Magicpin, Chalo, RedBus, Highway Delite and Pelocal. With Mumbai One App, Mumbai One Card, WhatsApp ticketing, and now Uber integration, commuters have multiple convenient ways to access Metro services. At the same time, BEST bus connectivity, foot overbridges and parking facilities near Metro stations are being strengthened to make the first-mile and last-mile journey easier. The feature will initially be available for Metro Lines 2A and 7, with Lines 9 and 2B to follow. Our focus remains simple — making daily travel easier, smoother and more convenient for Mumbai’s commuters. @Uber_India #MumbaiMetro #MumbaiInMinutes #RebootingMumbai #ReshapingMMR #MetroNetwork

Big Update: 👇 Mumbai’s next mobility revolution has begun. The Mumbai Transport Stack (MTS) is officially underway, an open data exchange platform that will unify Mumbai’s entire transport network and unlock affordable, next-generation mobility for Mumbaikars. The MMRDA has partnered with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to design and build this groundbreaking platform, with support from JICA Dx Lab, which has helped cities around the world create open, data-driven transport ecosystem. Under the leadership of Dr Sanjay Mukherjee, IAS, Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA, Smt Rubal Agarwal, IAS, Managing Director, Maha Mumbai Metro, and Shri Ajinkya Padwal, Deputy Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA, held detailed consultations on Wednesday with Mr Yamada Tomoyuki, Senior Director, Office for Science, Technology and Information and Digital Transformation, JICA, and Ms Naemura Maliko, Deputy Director, to kickstart this mission to transform mobility across the MMR. So what is the Mumbai Transport Stack? It is a digital public infrastructure built on open Standard Data Exchange Protocols and the Mobility as a Service (MaaS), designed to make every transport mode, Metro, bus, rail, and more, talk to each other to build a truly multimodal, interoperable transport ecosystem for citizens, operators, transport players, and government. The MTS will be built on five core principles: Open Source. Interoperable. Privacy by Design. Trusted & Secure. Scalable by Design. What this means on the ground: ✔️A unified transport ecosystem powered by secure data highways ✔️ Smarter urban planning using real mobility data ✔️ Open APIs for innovators to build new mobility solutions ✔️Faster, simpler, more reliable journeys for commuters How is Transport Stack useful for citizens? It will enable ✔️end to end ticket booking ✔️real-time tracking of trains, buses, and metros ✔️ seamless multimodal trip planning ✔️real-time parking information This isn’t just a tech upgrade. This is Mumbai building a unified, intelligent transport network for the future. #MumbaiTransportStack #NextGenMobility #SmartMobility #MMRDA #MahaMumbaiMetro #DigitalPublicInfrastructure #MovingMumbai #FutureOfMobility #UrbanTech #MumbaiInMinutes #PublicTransport #SmartCommute #MumbaiTraffic #RebootingMumbai #ReshapingMMR #TransformingMMR @CMOMaharashtra @Dev_Fadnavis @mieknathshinde @DrSanMukherjee @IAS_Rubal @jica_direct_en @MMMOCL_Official @MahaDGIPR

Mumbai, you asked for a greener future. Together, we’re getting there. Maha Mumbai Metro has cut electricity consumption by 13% in April–September 2025 compared to the same period last year. That led to a 34% saving in our energy bills over the same period— from ₹37.14 crore to ₹24.34 crore. That’s ₹12.79 crore of public money saved, even as our trains ran more kilometres than before. 👉 How did we get here? Through smart, quiet, sustainable innovations: ✔️ Smart lighting that cuts power wastage in our stations ✔️ Intermittent escalators that move only when passengers approach ✔️ Optimised AC systems for comfort and conservation ✔️ Regenerative braking that turns momentum into electricity 👉 The result? Our energy use per km has dipped from 29.73 units to 23.99 units, a steady decline. These numbers are great, but the real win is what they represent: a future where technology and responsibility travel together, and every kilometre of human travel leaves a smaller, lighter footprint. This achievement belongs to our planners and engineers, and to every Mumbaikar who chooses to ride mindfully. Because energy efficiency isn’t just good engineering. It’s good citizenship. #MMRDA #MahaMumbaiMetro #GreenerMumbai #SmartMobility #SustainableMetro #EnergyEfficientMetro #MMRDA50 #PublicMoneySaved #FutureReadyMumbai #EcoFriendlyTravel #SmartCityMumbai #MumbaiOnTheMove #MumbaiMetro #MetroMeriJaan #CleanTransit #MumbaiInMinutes #RebootingMumbai #ReshapingMMR #TransformingMMR @CMOMaharashtra @Dev_Fadnavis @mieknathshinde @DrSanMukherjee @IAS_Rubal @MMRDAOfficial @MahaDGIPR
