There are far too many wrongly convicted people in prison. The media tells us that the presence are full. I wonder why doesn’t take a rocket science does it convicting? Innocent people seems to be a thing. It’s a money making thing now not about innocent or guilty corrupt system.

My husband was a kind and honest man unfortunately that went against him. Be careful if you’re ever arrested say nothing because everything you say will be held against you. There’s no question of that they twist and turn and manipulate everything you say.

Stacey Sharples falsely accused 10 men of rape. She was convicted on a guilty plea to all 10 charges and received 4.5 years. That is less than six months per victim. Even then, the CPS initially refused to charge her over her accusation against Kaylum Davis, who was just 16 years old at the time. He had to invoke his right to review to bring her to justice. Think about that. The "believe all complainants" culture does not protect victims. It creates the conditions for serial predators like Sharples to thrive. When people say false allegations are rare, they cite a figure of around 4%. That figure only covers proven or admitted falsehoods. Even so, based on known cases alone, that is still more than 130 people falsely accused every single week in the UK. And that number is almost certainly an undercount. My own case went all the way to trial and ended in a full acquittal. It is still not formally recorded as a false allegation. Cases like mine exist in their thousands, invisible to the statistics. Despite all of this, the government has just rolled out Operation Soteria nationwide. Its core principle is to believe the complainant and focus the investigation on the suspect. This is Operation Midland with a new name. It learned nothing and changed nothing. There will be more Stacey Sharples cases. The only question is how many innocent people will have their lives destroyed first. @KHarveyProctor @IFAD9S @FalseAccusedUK @amandaknox @joerichlaw

This is how you deserve to eat when you're a clever, beautiful 16 year old boy who has dedicated his little life to bringing therapy to humans. Philo is now deservedly retired but still loves all humans ❤️ @PetsAsTherapyUK

These words sent to me on FB mean so much to me since I see it the same way. There are as many people in England who have been devastated by this as in Scotland. Liz, this really hits home. What so many people still do not seem to grasp is that the damage did not stop with the headline cases. For every high-profile name that later gets cleared, there are countless ordinary men and families who are left broken by allegations, trials and convictions that should never have happened. One of the worst parts of it is the way innocence itself is treated as a problem. Men are expected to go on courses that are plainly built around admitting guilt, and if they refuse because they are innocent, that refusal is then used against them. If they go along with it just to survive prison or try to get home, that is then called progress. There is nothing honest about that. That is not justice, and it is not rehabilitation. It is pressure, pure and simple. The presumption of innocence is supposed to mean something. The burden of proof is supposed to mean something. But for too many people, especially in these kinds of cases, those principles seem to disappear the moment an allegation is made. Accused.scot stands with those maintaining innocence, and with the families who are living this every day beside them. Too many people have been ignored for too long. Where was the Law society and the bar council when the presumption of innocence was replaced with the presumption of guilt and the reversal of the burden of proof? Where were they when the court room was presented with the victim from the very start and the verdict more or less decided entirely prior to trial with "BELIEVE VICTIM"? Where were they when due process was abandoned and instead police focused only on building a case against someone, consciously avoiding the people best in the position to know the actual truth of a matter? "Once to every man and Nation Come the moment to decide Then it is the brave man chooses Whilst the coward stands aside" Far, far too many cowards allows these wrongs. @Empowerinnocence @AAFAI_org @IFADS06 @moor_facts @agnes1_n @RobertJenrick @AlexChalkChelt @DavidDavisMP @KemiBadenoch @Nigel_Farage @Thebritishladyv @yorkiebea @Mscjervis @JIMSOfficial @faso_support @AccusedSco9813 @AlgernonParry

@SpeechUnion Has the dozy woman been asleep in Walton-on-the-Hill? Why has the profession been so tardy in standing up to this? Too many solicitors, barristers and judges not speaking up sooner. Where have the @TheLawSociety and @thebarcouncil been? x.com/top1percentile…

Many who have been wrongly convicted of alleged serious offences often appear to be very co-operative with MAPPA Officers. Why would anyone want to fully co-operate with the same Police Force that didn’t help and investigate impartially when they were falsely accused?
