The quality of life today is a lagging indicator of the decisions we made yesterday.

I paid US$5,000 for this swimming pool in 2005. I simply walked into Central Africa Building Society (CABS) and remortgaged my Chisipite home, which I had bought in 2001 and finished paying off in 2004. Just like that, their inspector came, valued the property, and the loan was approved. That is how a normal country should work, not the one where nothing is financed and everything has to be paid for in cash. At my age, I can buy properties for cash, but not when one is 29 years old, as I was when I bought my Chisipite home. Zimbabweans inside Zimbabwe have to hustle even when they are professionals just to buy property, and that is not fair. It is a system designed to punish work, delay progress, and keep people trapped in survival mode instead of allowing them to plan, build, and grow. Young professional women end up becoming mistresses, and young men end up becoming crooks, simply to survive. I do not even want to ask how much it costs to build a swimming pool today, especially when there are no real mortgages for young people..

AFRICAN UNION COMMISSION CHAIRPERSON UNEQUIVOCALLY CONDEMNS THE MILITARY COUP D’ETAT IN GUINEA BISSAU Addis Ababa, 26 November 2025 : The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, unequivocally condemns the military coup d’État that took place in the Republic of Guinea-Bissau on 26 November 2025, resulting in the arrest of President Umaro Sissoco Embaló, senior officials, and political leaders, at a moment when the nation was on the verge of the announcement of its electoral results. The Chairperson reiterates the African Union’s zero tolerance for, and firm rejection of, any unconstitutional change of government, in accordance with the Union’s core normative instruments, including the Constitutive Act of the African Union (2000), the Lomé Declaration on Unconstitutional Changes of Government (2000), the African Charter on Democracy, Elections and Governance (2007), and the Ezulwini Framework (2009). The Chairperson takes note of the Joint Statement on the Post-Election Situation issued on 26 November 2025 by the Heads of the African Union Election Observation Mission, the ECOWAS Election Observation Mission, and the West African Elders Forum. The Chairperson stresses the imperative of respecting the ongoing electoral process and upholding constitutional order, in line with the mandate of the National Electoral Commission (CNE), the sole institution legally empowered to proclaim official election results in the country. He calls for the immediate and unconditional release of President Embaló and all detained officials, and urges all parties to exercise the utmost restraint in order to prevent any further deterioration of the situation. He reaffirms the African Union’s readiness, working in close coordination with ECOWAS and other key international partners, to support all efforts aimed at restoring stability and safeguarding democratic processes through dialogue and legally grounded mechanisms. Finally, the Chairperson reiterates the African Union’s steadfast support and solidarity with the people of Guinea-Bissau during this critical period, and its commitment to accompanying them on the path toward peace, stability, and democratic consolidation. au.int/en/pressreleas…

This is the man Chrispen Makedenge, who, on 13 March 2003, took me, Advocate Gabriel Shumba, Taurai Magaya, and Charles Mutama to Kabrit Barracks in Harare and tortured us to near death. Here, he is pictured by Cllr @DenfordNgadzio1 looking frail and mentally unwell. These are the wages of sin, although I have long forgiven him, but my other colleagues he had tortured with me are still bitter and unforgiving. Ati adii hake!!!

His popularity stemmed from opposition backing, not his talks on cancer machines. He made a grave mistake by thinking he outpaced Chamisa in popularity. Now, his attempts to regain attention are futile, and he's being ignored

My white friends from the UK were shocked by the progress made in Zimbabwe's roads under President ED Mnangagwa's leadership, in just seven years. They even commented that if he had been given the opportunity to lead the country sooner, Zimbabwe would already be a paradise.

It is a disgrace that our justice system is given as an example of the worst in the world. We can do better #Zimbabwe.

Footballer Achraf Hakimi's wife filed for divorce and demanded half of his property. She was however informed by court that her "Millionaire' husband owns nothing as all his property is registered under his mother's names. Hakimi receives €1 Million from PSG monthly but 80% of this is deposited in his mother's account.

I lived part of my early life in Rhodesia. It was horrible & unbearable. The racial segregation & discrimination was dehumanising & degrading. It's a gross betrayal of fallen heroes & heroines to claim that Rhodesia was better than Zimbabwe 🇿🇼. ZIMBABWE IS ON THE REBOUND!

The Supreme Court judgment that dismantled @nelsonchamisa's MDC-A was on 31 March 2020. That was two years ago, three, before the 2023 elections. Less than 12 months before the elections, Chamisa is still consulting with no ideology, no values, no constitution & no structures!

1/ Makandiwa should just join ZANU PF& stop this elevated posturing, feinting more enlightenment than everyone else. He is a Pastor for God's sake& should operate in a smarter way. I'm Independent but openly state the only party I know is ZANU PF. He should do the same!
