Illinois, We the People built this great state, not the career politicians, not the machine in Springfield, and sure as hell not the special interests bleeding us dry with taxes while our communities crumble. It's time to stop just venting online and start reaching out. Talk to your neighbors. Show up at township meetings. Link arms with folks who actually love this place and want to see it thrive again. From the rolling farmlands downstate and the great city of Chicago, every corner of Illinois is packed with hardworking families who yearn for lower taxes, safer streets, better schools, and real opportunity. We have everything we need to succeed (if we finally take it back from those who squandered it). Here are some letters I am sending out to high propensity voters to help guide them to get involved, and you can do it too. Simple and personal outreach works. Print some, handwrite a note, drop them in the mail, or hand them to your neighbors. And in reality, what’s going on is that by using this litmus test, religious conservatives can be excluded from the FBI. This anti-Amendment mechanism effectively allows ideologic Leftists to exclude those on the opposite end of the political spectrum. How do you think that the FBI in the Richmond, VA field office produced an analysis that Latin Mass-going Catholics are violent extremists posing a risk to the United States? Answer: They drove out a lot of the agents and others who could respond to such an idea even being floated, “Are you actually crazy?”

Illinois has hit rock bottom. We are now ranked No. 1 in the U.S. for the highest property taxes. If you feel like you are being priced out of your own home, you are right. But, predictably, Springfield is hiding the reasons why. Skyrocketing tax bills are endlessly funding a broken system. Pension debt in Illinois is completely exempt from tax levy caps. This means government debt is growing mathematically faster than what taxpayers can afford. Without constitutional pension reform, it's not possible for property taxes to go down. Worse, local governments are exploiting loopholes in the property tax cap law (PTELL) and abusing TIF districts to siphon money from communities without any proof of addressing "blight." It is taxation without accountability, and it is draining your bank account. The ultimate fix? Grow the tax base. We need to make Illinois an affordable, pro-growth state by cutting red tape and lowering business taxes. When more people want to live and work here, the tax burden on you goes down.
