When I moved to rural Maine at age 13, I learned: dinner (“dinnah”) = midday meal supper (“suppah”) = evening meal sliding = sledding ayah = yes grinder “grindah” = a sub sandwich or hoagie (Philly) camp = most often a vacation structure on a steam, pond, or lake. The structures range between being quite primitive to high-dollar cottages/houses. We’re going “up ta camp.” The TV show “Maine Cabin Masters” should be called “Maine Camp Masters.” I have many more, but I haven’t had any coffee yet. ☕️

@KathWertheim @elle91 I see no problem there unless he steamrolled your choice for 2nd date For me, the dealbreaker’d be someone who refused to eat veg bc “it’s gross” or “meat tastes good”, or wanted to take me to bbq or a crappy chain. There’s some bangin’ veg food these days (raw’s not my pref).

@elle91 First date was at a vegan soul food place. Then he scheduled our second date at a raw food restaurant. No. Just no. My mother once said - and I believe this was without humor or a double entendre - “Never date a man who’s that careful about what he puts in his mouth.”

Just ugh
