As I addressed the celebration of #56thFoundationDay of the Department of Science and Technology @IndiaDST, chaired by Hon’ble Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh ji @DrJitendraSingh, it was time to reflect on my close to three-year journey with the department, working with colleagues towards placing science at the fulcrum of Viksit Bharat, a nation that is technologically self-reliant, and globally competitive.

@IndiaDST is not just a department; it is a driving force of national transformation. Its establishment more than five decades ago paved the path towards making science and technology central to India’s development, driving economic growth, strengthening resilience, and shaping the nation’s future.

Today, we celebrated the remarkable journey of @IndiaDST in strengthening India’s science, technology, and innovation ecosystem by driving critical national missions, expanding research infrastructure, strengthening startup and innovation ecosystems, nurturing talents, and ensuring that science serves society at scale.
