Integrating these frontier technologies at the grassroots is essential for ensuring India’s transformation is shaped where governance meets last-mile impact.

Technologies such as AI, Geospatial Intelligence, etc, can enable a fundamental shift from traditional scheme implementation to predictive governance. By treating our districts as innovation sandboxes, we can leverage real-time data to identify malnutrition clusters, forecast crop failures, and scale indigenous AI solutions. This approach ensures that the startup ecosystem's expansion into Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities directly improves livelihoods and compresses years of incremental progress into rapid growth.

Alongside Ms. Nidhi Chhibber, CEO, @NITIAayog, Shri Rohit Kumar (Mission Director ADP/ABP), and Ms. Debjani Ghosh, @debjani_ghosh_ Frontier Tech Hub, we discussed the critical role of technology-led governance in driving rapid, inclusive development across India’s districts.

It was a pleasure to attend the Workshop on Frontier 50, organized by the Aspirational Districts (ADP) and Aspirational Blocks (ABP) Programmes of @NITIAayog and deliver the keynote address to District Collectors and District Magistrates of 50 aspirational districts chosen for Frontier 50.

Four Hydrogen Valley foundations launched. The Pune Hydrogen Valley Foundation, led by CSIR–NCL and located in the Pune–Mumbai region, will advance green chemicals and sustainable transport solutions. The Jodhpur Hydrogen Valley Innovation Foundation, led by IIT Jodhpur and located at IIT Jodhpur, will focus on hydrogen mobility, including H2ICE applications, green ammonia, and city gas blending. The Odisha Hydrogen Valley Foundation, led by IIT Bhubaneswar and located at IIT Bhubaneswar, will enable green steel production through the DRI route and support hydrogen-based mining transport.
