41 newly commissioned officers of #AMC successfully culminated the #AMC Non-Technical Post Commissioning Course on 18 Mar 2026 after a rigorous 14-week training at Officers Training College, equipping them in administration, logistics and leadership for roles as Quartermasters, Administrative Officers, Logistic Officers and Company Commanders. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff and Space Application Centre, ISRO for maintainence of existing Satellite Based Telecommunications nodes and provision of additional nodes for all three services of Armed Forces. Tha MOU was signed by Air Marshal Shankar Subramanian, DCIDS(Med) on behalf of HQ IDS and Shri Nilesh M Desai, Director SAC from ISRO. At the 84th Annual Conference of the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS), Jaipur (12–15 Mar 2026), the Dept of Ophthalmology, #ArmyHospital (R&R), earned multiple prestigious recognitions. Brig SK Mishra was conferred the AIOS Priti Natarajan Award, the first recipient from #AFMS, and also secured Best of IJO 2025 for two research papers with Col Alok Sati, who additionally received the IJO Reviewer Appreciation. As part of this year’s #InternationalWomensDay theme “Give to Gain,” a team from the Dept of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, #AFMC Pune conducted a women’s health outreach at Army Institute of Technology, Pune on 10 Mar 2026 under AFMC’s #ConnectAndCare initiative. The team led interactive sessions on contraception, menstrual hygiene and HPV vaccination, while also organising a health screening camp assessing anaemia, BP, BMI and blood sugar levels and providing personalised health advice.
