The NYPD is crushing it when it comes to taking illegal mopeds and scooters off our streets. So far this year, the NYPD has seized over 5,700 of these dangerous, illegal vehicles — and we are not letting up.

Yesterday, Divers doing a routine maintenance check at the Converse Reservoir Dam in Mobile, AL discovered an underwater grenade type IED. The FBI bomb squad had to be called in to safely detonate it. The Reservoir and Dam are critical infrastructure, and this is being called “an unprecedented threat“ The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has been made aware of the situation.

Genuine question: Nuclear power plants generate massive amounts of energy and while the risk of meltdown was potentially catastrophic, the likelihood was low. With data centers, the risk is not a potential catastrophic disaster, it is an absolutely certainty that they consume vast resources, and pose massive inconveniences to those unfortunate enough to find themselves in the way. They don’t produce energy, or jobs, or any tangible benefit for those being inconvenienced. What do they provide? What is the argument? What is the deal being offered? You give up your land and resources and peace of mind and fresh water, and in exchange… what? The artificially inflated stock market momentarily staves off collapse? America can build a biometric control grid faster than China? Sell me on why data centers are merely benign, let alone worth the vast expenditure they require. Pretend my childhood home just got slated for demolition under Imminent Domain.
