1985 - 2020 Six years ago today

@dessertrat33 You’re doing it, my friend. With the help of the Holy Spirit you are evangelizing in obedience to the Father’s will. There is no fraud in sharing what Christ has delivered you from. We plant and water…God will manifest the growth.

Discipleship going slow, mostly because I still feel like a fraud having recently returned to God the church. I am really excited to get a good friend and former coworker to attend church this coming Sunday. His life is pretty messy right now, it's what happens when we stray.

Our entire politics was ruined by Bill Clinton and his decision after getting caught with the intern to stick it out. We might have survived it if after he left office everyone just quietly forgot him. But his wife's ambitions and their permanent sleaze kept everyone covering for them for ~24 years. A generation plus of gaslighting. That eventually brought on the giant up-yours of Trump.

My 4yo says "Squib" instead of "Squid" and, honestly, I never want to correct her. It's one of my favorite things she says right now ❤️ Never want her to grow out of it.

Encouraged to read this. My journey into trading was born of unimaginable grief at the loss of our son. I could not face the world, so i left my job and started trading. I have experienced many of the same benefits as you described, and it has offered the flexibility to be of service to others. God bless your family.

The best part about being a full-time trade is being your own boss At the start of 2025, my family experienced a loss. I was able to take a month off to spend with my wife. I didn't have to explain it to anyone or request that time off At the end of 2026, my wife had a baby. I was able to fully support her without worrying about my job security When my daughter starts school, I'll be able to plan my day around her schedule If someone in my life needs something, I can get up from my desk & help them without begging a boss or feeling bad It's not all sunshine and rainbows, but the freedom makes it a dream worth chasing. Don't give up. Keep grinding

@ImDanChapa thanks but I feel we could be doing a better job explaining to others the beauty of our tradition. Lutherans spend too much time arguing with other Lutherans and RC/EO IMO.

Christians: Even if someone’s theology on here is genuinely bad, mockery is not a fruit of the Spirit. You don’t have the right to tear down those Christ died for. It’s unbecoming for any believer and even more so for pastors and biblical counselors. Truth doesn’t need juvenile bullies to defend it.

@ImDanChapa We have a few members of our local congregation that do serve our community in an elected capacity, but with a servants heart. We shouldn’t be looking for power, but be willing to lead if that is what God calls us to do.

@rakishanis I’m not suggesting that it is impermissible. I regret that it would be interpreted this way.
