@illPhysics It's for one of the rail guns and the trait was called "Spartan Laser" (The halo nerd in me was happy). The trait causes the railgun to shoot two shots per charge up. Haven't tried it yet, idk if it's like a burst fire or two at the exact same time side by side?

@Arrrrash I really wanna see more streamers doing fun challenges with Marathon. Loading in with empty loadouts (zero to hero), loading in with all golds but only using knife and trying to exfil without dying (basically cosplaying as a loot pinata), etc.

I am a pretty tiny streamer (and also not a mega sweat) so idk if there would be any interest in this. But would any of yall be interested in a night where I just run games with anyone who pops into the stream? Help people who are stuck on early contracts and just play with people who are generally solo players?

@NiftyN00b I havent done solos but plenty of rook runs on Dire Marsh. Is there a big difference between the two?

@ImPraxic You actually can, unless you are a solo player those 2 experiences are not the same haha, solo spawns on Dire are the worst in the game though

Dire Marsh is such a terrible map... It's actually a shame we are just getting night time Dire Marsh instead of a new map for season 2.... Please bungie make a new map this game needs it as much as I love Outpost playing only that cause there is no good loot on Perimeter and Dire is such a bad map has me wanting more content #marathon #marathonthegame #bungie

@r5cerlol @TheTrueVanguard There around dozens of ways to make new like-minded gamer friends. Not every game has to be solo friendly.

@ImPraxic @TheTrueVanguard A lot of players are Solo. Not everyone has a friend group that is dedicated to Marathon. My friends dont wanna play Marathon because they dont like extraction Shooter. I wont force them and just enjoy the game on my own. Bungie shouldn't bully Solo Players.

Okay, these new Outpost changes genuinely suck for solo play. I'm disappointed. I just had a run where I killed more than half the lobby, 5 players. I had 2 red keys from antenna's, 3 orange keys, 3 green keys. I was stacked and I earned it. BUT - Pinwheel vault room now needs 3 red keys to open. Other players grabbed the antenna keys and exfil'd early meaning I had to rely on RNG purple enemy drops. None dropped, so the room was perma-closed. - Command Wing now has 2 purple enemies and at least 4 blue enemies. This caused a solo clear of the room to take considerably longer, I lost a lot of time. - New strongbox locations are not intuitive and just don't make sense. In weird locations that I think are supposed to encourage fighting ads instead of looting and running, but they're in weird spots now. For real, if I kill almost every player and make the last 2 run from the match, I should be able to loot everything because I feel like I earned it.

@ImPraxic @Mr_Rebs_ Well that’s if these numbers are accurate but I think the console players have games that scratch that itch already arc for extraction shooters and marvel rivals/overwatch for hero shooters

THEN I CALL IT AN ORANGE CARD 'BUT ITS RED' JUST MAKE THE COLOR MATCH THE THING THAT GIVES YOU THE CARD

There are a ton of people who would genuinely love marathon who aren’t playing it. It’s the only FPS MP game that’s grabbed me in many years and offers something actually unique in the space. I hope more people give it a try, it’s a fantastic game

@OlManMakowski As long as it's like purple gear MAX (and super rare at that.) If you want a steady flow of purples and golds you should need to play PvP

Would Marathon benefit from a pve only mode? À la Tarkov? I’d love to make it more casual friendly without disrupting the (hard)core of the game. I know it would be hard to do. Just spitballing here… Maybe Perimeter Beginner as an always on option? There’s gotta be something

@escapedieu @Ziegler_Dev But, for the record, every game needs it's 9-5 dads. Im not one, but I recognize that an important part of every player base is. A game that caters to the top 2% will lose 98% of it's playerbase and die. (Coming from at top 1% player in Destiny 2)

We have a lot of convos around the game going right now, but one thing we've aligned on and will be doing for the next Cryo window is making Subroutines a 100% drop from each vault. Thanks for the feedback we'll keep hammering on more updates.

@Mr_Rebs_ Several of my best buds and I play on Xbox and are loving it. I guess to be fair, Bungie is a playstation studio so i imagine it's doing better on playstation by default

Marathon doesn’t seem to be doing well on Xbox. The official Xbox most played games chart lists Marathon at #77. Not being in the top 25 shortly after release is concerning, so this is very concerning. The list is normally correct, but I hope this is an error. I’m proud to be one of the few Xbox runners 🫡 #Marathon #Xbox
