A former Bethesda developer recently claimed that if you were to go back and play Morrowind now, you would cringe. So I put it to the test. Not only did I not cringe, it also has become my favorite Bethesda game of all time. Link below!

GTA 4 turns 18 today. The most ANNOYING game in the series. - Clunky driving - Stopping to pay bridge tolls - Failing to hail a cab in the rain - Sluggish internet cafes - Roman calling you 24/7 You called it bad design. But it was intentional. Modern games are terrified of frustrating you. They want you to feel like a god without any friction. But GTA 4 does the exact opposite. It constantly fights you. Take Roman. The "let's go bowling" meme is legendary because players hated it. But technically, it’s genius. It perfectly captures how exhausting it can be to deal with family responsibilities. You never really have any time that's just yours. Same goes for driving. Cars handle like boats. You can't just hold down the gas like you do in GTA 5. You have to respect the weight, brake early, and actually learn the streets. Rockstar used frustrating gameplay to put you directly in Niko’s shoes. The "American Dream" in GTA 4 isn’t a power fantasy playground, and you aren't a superhero in the city. You're just a stranger forced to adapt to it. When a game frustrates you, it's usually just bad design. But when GTA 4 makes you rage at a toll booth or sigh at a poorly-timed phone call, it’s doing exactly what it meant to. You're feeling what Niko feels. Did you like the realism, or do you wish it played more like GTA 5?

PSA Don't skip Mass Effect 1. It's the best game of the trilogy. Jumping straight to the second game and missing all that lore building, character introductions/building, and that interaction with Sovereign on Virmire, is doing yourself a disservice!

I played the first Mass Effect for 6+ hours yesterday on stream & absolutely loved it! I’ve seen people say to either skip or just mainline it to get to ME2 quickly, but I don’t get it. There’s so much great lore & character depth in the first game. I can’t wait to keep going!🌠

No accounts. No logins. No patches. No DLC roadmap. Just the game. We didn’t realise how good we had it.

everyone's dislike of this episode just shows the deteriorating nature of television this was a great filler episode in a space that no longer does filler episodes. if this was 10 years ago, people would have been raving about the character insights and moments we got out of it

The Boys Season 5 reaches its low point in Episode 4, a largely pointless detour for the series that relies too much on forced character drama. Our full review: bit.ly/3OFV1Hc

Here's a stat that's about to blow your mind. In Ring Wrestling Time: 1 hour, 26 minutes total across 7 matches Ad time: APPROXIMATELY 1 hour and 14 minutes. 12 LESS MINUTES OF ADS THAN WRESTLING. TKO are genuinely ruining EVERYTHING. #WrestleMania

It’s fine if game doesn’t resonate with you- video games are interactive, immersive art and the experiences they offer are subjective to the player. However, being pretentious about your film noir taste and being upset that you didn’t play “Chinatown” featuring Mice is kinda wild. The game is a satirical love letter to classic film and animation- and I’ve already had people express curiosity about the references as I play through it. A game that inspires people to research media and expose themselves to entertainment history is SO important for the long term health of media literacy. And it’s clear the devs did the homework and studied the genre- they just want to have fun with it, which according to this reviewer is GASP! Not allowed. Unfair reviews like this stop game studios from further developing other similar projects. Reviews like this dissuade people from playing and investing in it. It’s irresponsible, because it’ll kill unique experiences in favor of upholding paid review slop. Shame on you, IGN. I want new ideas on the game market. I want exciting aesthetics and art styles that are inspiring to spend time in. I want the new generation of gamers to be exposed to different ways of storytelling. So, go play Mouse PI for Hire. Look at the reviews of all the gamers who are LOVING it. Because it’s that gouda 🧀❤️

Mouse: P.I. for Hire is an amusing enough FPS if you just want to blast some cartoon mice, but its haphazard marriage of noir storytelling and boomer shooter action are often at odds. Our review: bit.ly/3Q3NthT
