💥COOKING w/ the product/engineering team @impact_stream V2 of the app is in progress. It will allow multiple rounds, and multiple types of rounds, to run simultaneously. For those not familiar, an Impact Stream "round" is when there is a pool of on-chain funds intended to positively impact a particular geography (e.g. a village) and/or vertical (e.g. literacy). Impact Stream's Pilot Round last year helped HUNDREDS of families in Togo (West Africa) get access to education, health care, and clean water. Their own community proposed, voted on, and built the projects. If your father or mother is above 67, please pause and read this slowly. At that age, life begins to feel different for them. The world moves faster, but their bodies move slower. The things they once did effortlessly now require effort. Their strength is not what it used to be, and even if they don’t say it, they feel it. What they need now is not pressure. Not stress. Not arguments about money or past mistakes. They need stability. They need reassurance. They need to feel safe. If they have savings, protect it. This is not the stage for risky investments or “let’s try this opportunity.” It is the stage for preservation. Capital safety matters more than high returns. Peace of mind matters more than profit. If they depend on you financially, don’t see it as a burden. See it as a privilege. The same hands that once carried you are now weaker. The same voices that defended you now speak softer. Support them with dignity, not pity. And beyond money, give them something deeper. Call them without being in a hurry. Sit with them without checking your phone every two minutes. Let them repeat stories you’ve heard before. One day, you will wish to hear those stories again. At 67 and above, what they truly fear is not death. It is loneliness. It is feeling forgotten. Take care of their health. Help them organize their documents. Make sure they are not being financially manipulated. Protect them from stress. But most importantly, protect their heart. Because one day, the chair they sit on will be empty. And no amount of money will buy back one more conversation.

Through mentorship, care, and years of hands-on training, she’s being equipped to one day build a business of her own. Every stitch is practice. Every day is progress. This is how futures are made - patiently, purposefully, by hand.

This is Andre - a local entrepreneur and project author for our impact work in his community. Andre had a vision to build a seamstress and textile manufacturing business, but more importantly, to create opportunity for other young people along the way. Today, that vision is real. By opening his workshop, he’s training young seamstresses and tailors at half the usual cost - feeding them, mentoring them, and equipping them with skills they’ll carry for life. He didn’t just start a business. He created a pathway, opening doors that would otherwise stay closed. Every stitch here represents patience, dignity, and the belief that skills shared can change lives. This is how local leadership becomes lasting futures.

I was lucky enough to get an invite to Dallas last week to spend time with @impact_ape and the some of the @wirenetwork crew for a couple of private events. It was incredible to hear about a number of projects that are focused on impactful and important work but this video from @impact_stream really struck a cord with everyone. I've been talking with them for over a year now about their important work in Africa the work they're doing truly shows quite possibly one of the best and most valuable use cases for the blockchain any of us have ever seen. 1000% worth your time.
