Let's be absolutely clear - pubs and restaurants open outdoors only is not economically feasible and delaying opening until May without significant additional compensation will see large numbers of business failures and job losses

END OF MARCH 2021 Debt moratorium ends! Payment of deferred Q1 2020 VAT & PAYE falls due! Business rates holiday ends! VAT reverts to 20%! @RishiSunak, you surely must have a plan - please don’t wait until the March budget to tell us what it is. Hospitality needs certainty NOW.

I’m sick of the government & the media claiming that the furlough scheme is a support measure for businesses in hospitality (& other sectors). Furlough COSTS our business over £100k A WEEK & we have £0 turnover. This is NOT business support & claims that it is are deceitful.

@AlexReilley1 Been saying this all along. The furlough has enabled business to keep staff employed but it costs us money. This has saved the government from paying unemployment benefit. What happened to “ £1000 per member of staff retained”.. they went back on that..!!

For me monthly to stay close (5k) plus furlough costs (1.2k), not a small amount with ZERO takings. More than a good deed, I I not realistic. Furlough started at no cost to businesses, why as this changed?

@RishiSunak @BorisJohnson . A business similar to is got 12.5k in Colchester before Christmas as financial help, I got 1k in northamptonshire!! Do I need to unfurlough my 10 employees from tomorrow? Just cannot afford it!
