I’ve been sharing the evolution of this system for 11 years. Posts that get a lot of traction will begin to attract the critics who will always say “Half the wheat and soybean yield on twice the work!!! What an idiot” I’ve done some idiotic things in life but never 11 years strait. The reason we continue to expand our acres is that this system exploits the plasticity of plants, keeps a living root in the soil, and increases soybean profitability quite a bit. The key have been to continually revise the system. Where we have arrived is a system that maximizes “footprint yield” You’re looking at 250 bu wheat on 1/3 of the footprint of the acre in space But also a time footprint of the 1st half of the season. You can store that value 15-40” high off of the surface of the soil and then BEND 20-30” tall beans and grow as good or better soybeans than alone. We’ve done it many different times in different ways. Reallocating our seed, thinking about where each crop will be at different days AND the adaptations we get in the plant from those corresponding arrangements is what creates the profit. This isn’t an attack of the critics. It’s just shows our lack of imagination… and understanding of the value of time, space, and plant dynamics. They don’t teach you this. You have to discover through trial and error.

I started wondering why all these teens go missing in the exact same area in South Salt Lake. The news fails to mention (and the photos of the kids would indicate) that they are going missing from the Salt Lake County Division of Youth Services. Why would they fail to mention that? Something’s fishy.

Grim post. Today, around 3:00pm while visiting my old school redneck friend and neighbor marking fence post locations, I let Juni the heeler pup out for a few minutes. I called her back in she loaded back up into the truck. We proceeded bullshit for 10-20 minutes. Walking back to the truck she was ass in the air, thought she was digging in the seat. When I got there, she had shit all over and was convulsing/seizing/slobbering. I asked him if he had any poison out. Unfortunately he did have out a fly bait concoction mixed with soda to kill coons, possums, skunks and any other lurkers by. I loaded up, called my vet’s cell followed by three other area vets. No doctors in on Friday, universal. Got to the house, tried agitating, keeping upright, compressions, breathing into her nose. She was stone dead 15 minutes in. Vet returned my call after. It’s an organophosphate poison (nerve agent), atropine is the treatment, I don’t keep that in the kit and wouldn’t have considered it. Took the DR mower out, cleaned up the pet cemetery and buried her. It was a violent and unnecessary death. I’m still in fight mode, walled off, avoiding, sipping through a fifth of Jim Beam. Not adjudicating right now. Mrs crushed, readily judgemental. Jimmy the cat (sparring partner) lost, just a huge dent here. Probably muting this post, shit.
