They should be made available free of cost by uploading them in @digilocker_ind which can be easily done by adding a small code in your software. Later on if a student finds a issue and wants revaluation he/she can do it.

When you have already scanned each and every answer book of all the students, why are you charging ₹500 for providing scanned copy of answer book per subject? You created a mess and now students should pay for it. @cbseindia29 @EduMinOfIndia @PMOIndia #cbseexamrow

Dear CBSE, Lakhs of students and parents across India are under immense stress after the Class 12 results. 💔 Keeping in mind the concerns regarding OSM evaluation, technical issues, and unexpectedly low marks in core subjects, we sincerely request CBSE to consider a compassionate relief policy for students. Our humble request: • Allow up to 15 grace marks in total • Maximum 5 grace marks per subject • Applicable in up to 3 subjects for deserving students This small step can save one academic year, restore confidence, and protect the mental health of thousands of hardworking students. A student’s future should not collapse because of a few marks in an already stressful system. Students are not asking for unfair advantage. They are only asking for support, fairness, and one chance to move forward with dignity. 🇮🇳 — Anurag Tyagi #CBSE #GraceMarks #Students #BoardResults #EducationSystem #JusticeForStudents #AnuragTyagi

#CBSE #OSM #CBSEResult #Education #DeepakChaurasia #deepakchaurasia @dpradhanbjp @cbseindia29 @ncert @NTA_Exams #NEETUG

The On-Screen Marking (OSM) to evaluate CBSE Class XII Examination 2026 results is a digital evaluation system designed to improve accuracy, transparency and efficiency in the assessment of answer scripts. It enables scanned answer books to be evaluated online by trained examiners, ensuring consistency with the marking scheme and reducing human error in totalling and tabulation. OSM strengthens objectivity in evaluation by focusing on conceptual understanding rather than just final answers. #SchoolEducation #DoSEL #CBSE

These reduced scores are directly impacting college admissions, scholarships, competitive exam eligibility, and students’ future careers. Even small mark reductions can affect cut-offs significantly, causing stress among students and parents.

#WATCH | Delhi: Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, says, "... We will charge a fee of Rs 100 from any student who wishes to view their answer sheets; a separate fee of Rs 100 applies if they wish to have their papers validated; and a fee of Rs 25 applies for the re-checking of the answer to any specific question. We have decided that if, during the scrutiny process, a student's marks increase or are revised upwards, we will refund the entire amount paid by them for the re-evaluation..." He also says, "Whether it is the Ministry of Education or the CBSE, the welfare and concerns of all our children are of paramount importance to us. Therefore, we want to ensure that no child feels, for any reason whatsoever, that they have received lower marks than they deserve—either based on their merit or the actual performance reflected in the answers they wrote during the examination. The provision for re-evaluation has always existed within the CBSE framework... We will ensure that the marks awarded, including the totalling of scores, are absolutely accurate... CBSE has taken a decisive step this time: if you wish to view your question paper or answer sheet, seek its verification, we have decided that the fee previously charged for such services..."

#WATCH | Delhi: Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, says, "As you are aware, the Class 12 results recently declared by the CBSE were marked using an On-Screen Marking (OSM) system this time. Following this, certain concerns have been raised—specifically, students feel that the overall pass percentage has declined. Indeed, the pass percentage has dropped by 3 per cent compared to the previous year, falling from 88 per cent to 85 per cent. Some students feel that they should have received higher marks than those actually awarded to them... I would like to emphasise that On-Screen Marking is neither a novel concept nor is this the first time it has been implemented. The CBSE first initiated the OSM system in 2014; however, at that time, due to technical infrastructure limitations, it was deemed unfeasible to continue the process immediately. We have successfully reintroduced it this year..."

Message to Students It appears from social media posts that many students of class XII Board are anxious about their results/marks and are attributing it to change of assessment scheme i.e. On-Screen Marking (OSM) mechanism re-introduced this year. The Board is extremely sensitive to their concerns and is alive to addressing it accordingly. The CBSE reiterates that student well-being is of paramount importance and, therefore, has attempted to address all possible issues which could arise. The key benefits of OSM are uniformity in evaluation with adherence to the marking scheme prepared by experienced CBSE teachers. The marking scheme also contains alternative methods of answering so that children who answer deploying alternative methods are also graded. If any student feels dissatisfied with the result, there are clear and transparent avenues available, including verification of marks, access to evaluated answer books, and re-evaluation. For those feeling anxious or uncertain, tele-counselling support (1800-11-8004) is also available. They may also reach out through the email resultcbse2026@gmail.com. We would encourage students and parents to directly use these official channels to seek clarity and support, for any unanswered doubts. Every concern deserves attention, and no student is alone in this process. @EduMinOfIndia @dpradhanbjp @PIB_India @AkashvaniAIR @DDNewslive @PTI_News @sanjayjavin @PIB_Edu @airnewsalerts

CBSE’s Commitment to Fair, Transparent and Equitable Evaluation It has been observed that following the declaration of the CBSE Class XII results, several posts have appeared on social media regarding the assessment under the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, particularly in relation to marks obtained by students in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. The OSM system was introduced to enhance transparency, fairness, and consistency in the evaluation process by ensuring stepwise marking, which has long been a salient feature of the Board’s evaluation framework. The system aims to promote uniformity and objectivity in the assessment of answer scripts across subjects and across regions. Another key feature of the Board’s evaluation system has been the opportunity afforded for re-evaluation provided to students who may be dissatisfied with their results. This reflects the Board’s commitment to transparency, fairness, and equity. Accordingly, this opportunity will be made available this year as well. Students may apply for copies of their evaluated answer books, and in case any discrepancy is observed by them, they may request for corrective action. These processes are required to be undertaken through the mechanism prescribed by the Board. The Board once again reiterates its unwavering commitment to maintaining a fair, just, consistent and equitable assessment system, ensuring that they are in accordance with the transparent and robust evaluation practices adopted by the Board. @EduMinOfIndia @dpradhanbjp @sanjayjavin @PIB_India @PIB_Edu @DDNewslive @AkashvaniAIR @airnewsalerts @PTI_News

I am in touch with many teachers ( including me ) who were part of the #CBSE evaluation process in 2026. Some of them were even Head Examiners. And honestly… not a single teacher gave me genuinely positive feedback about OSM. 💔 What they shared instead were endless complaints: • blurred scanned copies • server issues • lagging systems • eye strain • difficulty checking lengthy numerical answers • pressure to complete evaluation quickly Teachers were struggling. Students are now suffering. Yet the Board is projecting OSM as a “great success.” If everything was truly successful, then why are lakhs of students suddenly doubting their own marks and copy checking? This is not just a technical issue anymore. It is becoming a trust crisis in India’s education system. #CBSE #CBSEResults2026 #OSM #FreeRevaluation #JusticeForCBSEStudents #Students #EducationSystem #AnuragTyagi
