In a shocking display of apathy towards public safety, the Pune Mirror team found the entire stretch beneath the Ramwadi Maha Metro Station on Nagar Road choked with illegally parked two-wheelers. From one end of the station to the other, pavements meant for pedestrians had virtually disappeared under rows of bikes, forcing citizens to step onto the busy main road and navigate through speeding traffic at great risk to their lives. Despite multiple “No Parking” signboards, the station’s security guard admitted his inability to stop commuters from occupying the footpath. When questioned, he appeared visibly frustrated and even confronted the Pune Mirror team, making intimidating gestures and attempting to prevent the recording of videos at the site. What is even more alarming is the complete inaction from both the traffic police and Metro authorities. Even after repeated violations in plain sight, no enforcement drive or corrective measures have been initiated, leaving pedestrians to fend for themselves on one of the city’s busiest roads.

This footage is a wild reminder of how fast things go south on the road. From one angle, we see a shocking collision as a bike carrying three people, none wearing helmets… cuts across an intersection, ignoring the red light. The impact is brutal, sending them skidding across the pavement. Switch to the second dashcam, and the drama only intensifies. Instead of taking accountability, the riders immediately become aggressive, confronting the driver despite the clear traffic violation. This video highlights three major red flags: > Triple Riding: Extremely dangerous and illegal. > No Helmets: A life-threatening choice in an accident like this. > Signal Jumping: Putting everyone’s life at risk for a few saved seconds. Dashcams don’t just record memories, they provide the unbiased truth when things get heated.

For the last three years, a startup in Bangalore has been obsessed with a pursuit that typically invites raised eyebrows, naked skepticism, and accusations of stealing from sci-fi: @dognosis is training dogs to detect cancer. And until you've spent time at their facility - a former pomegranate farm in the outskirts of Bangalore - perhaps skepticism is the rational response. But Dognosis isn't betting on some pie-in-the-sky idea or some charming novelty act, they're betting on evolution. @akadogluk and @Itamar_Bitan based their company on the fact that the dog's nose - a product of fifteen millennia of co-evolution with humans - can detect the faint chemical trace of cancer in your breath at a resolution that our machines, algorithms, and laboratory tests have never come close to matching. We've known this fact for decades. We've consistently failed to do anything meaningful with that knowledge. The missing link has been figuring out what the dog's nose knows, and applying it in a standardised, scalable, and clinically validated way. Dognosis is building this missing piece of the equation i.e. the translation layer that allows the dog's nose to speak a language medicine can understand, enabling us to harness an ancient biological intelligence and plug it into our modern medical infrastructure. Maybe you've read the paragraphs above and retained your skepticism. That's fair. But this past Friday, the Journal of Clinical Oncology - the world's most influential cancer journal - opted to make life much harder for the skeptics. On Friday, the JCO published Dognosis' landmark study on breath-based multi-cancer detection - the largest of its kind ever conducted - showing that a team of trained dogs, equipped with sensors and AI, could detect multiple cancers from breath alone at 90%+ accuracy - including at Stage I, when it matters most - for $2 a test. According to Akash, it proved "that everything we’ve known about the dogs is true". Needless to say, it's a genuine milestone for Indian healthcare, health-tech, deep-tech, and, uh, dog-tech, that deserves far more attention than it's gotten so far. To help change that, we were lucky to have Akash stop by the Tigerfeathers editorial desk this past week to unpack the Dognosis journey - helping us understand what they're building, how they're doing it, why it matters, and what comes next. From where we're sitting, Dognosis is an n-of-1 Indian startup with an n-of-1 story that everyone in the Indian tech ecosystem should be aware of. If you've been intrigued by what you've read so far and you're keen to go deeper, dive into our piece here👇 tigerfeathers.in/p/dognosis-unl…

Killer Machine at Wadala RA Kidwai road. A sword hanging above the heads of our children and families who live and use Mumbai roads daily Look at this blatant and intentional criminal. Driving in excess of a mile in the wrong direction. Passed several intersections where he could have switched to the correct lane but why bother. In fact he demanded right of way from a correct side driving tempo driver and got into an altercation with him. Traffic offender or thug? You decide Mh01EK4506 near the busy Wadala railway station @MTPHereToHelp @CPMumbaiPolice @DGPMaharashtra @mumbaimatterz @RoadsOfMumbai @KiritSomaiya @AmeyGhole @KalpeshaJKBJP @MORTHIndia @richapintoi Anyone have x handle of Pravin Salunkhe sir ? Can the honorable SC be tagged ? They seem to be the only ones bothered about the murderous traffic conditions in Mumbai.

When I think of Lok Sabha strength being increased from 543 to 850, my first thought is not smaller constituencies, more responsive representatives, and all that. It is - 307 more VIPs. That many more entitled rulers, free tickets, perks, security, expense, sigh.

ALL NINE COPS TO BE HANGED!!! In a landmark judgement, the honourable First Additional District and Sessions Judge of Madurai, G Muthukumaran pronounced death penalty for all nine policemen in the Jeyaraj and Beniks custodial torture and death case. Inspector S Sridhar, sub-inspectors P Ragu Ganesh & K Balakrishnan, head constables S Murugan and A Samidurai and constables M Muthuraja, S Veil Muthu, S Chelladurai & X Thomas Francis have all been found guilty of the double murder. On 19th June 2020, Jeyaraj went to his son’s mobile shop in at Sathankulam in Thoothukudi. Police arrested him for violating Covid rules. Following the father’s arrest, Beniks went to the police station and requested for his father’s release. Beniks apparently had an argument with the cops. They arrested him also and tortured him and his father through the night and later sent to judicial remand. Beniks died at Kovilapatti Government Hospital on 22nd June, 2020, and Jeyaraj passed away the next day. The investigation later revealed that the mobile shop wasn’t open beyond the permissible hours. Basically a false case was slapped. Later, a female constable, Revathi came forward to tell the truth of their torture. Not only were the son & the father beaten brutally throughout the night but were also made to clean up their blood off the police station floor and walls with their clothes. Beniks sustained 13 external injuries and Jeyaraj had 17 wounds that ultimately led to their deaths. They were bleeding from their rectums when they were sent to jail!!! Following a huge social media uproar and protests, there was pressure on the then Tamil Nadu government to conduct a fair investigation into their deaths. If you go through the whole case, you will realise that 59 year old Jeyraj and 31 year old Beniks were killed purely because the ego of the policemen was hurt. They were angry that Beniks questioned why his father was arrested and being beaten up. Family of the victims hope this will be a lesson to all policemen who think they can get away with any crime. But unfortunately in our country most police don’t play by the rules. It is either their ego or orders from above or corruption that drives them. Hoping for better policing and a system that stands for victims, especially the voiceless ones.

Kudos to people like him; with increasing camera penetration and the power of social media for distribution, such issues will get curbed and that’s how India improves, one step at a time.

"Youth angry over poor civic sense." 😡 He was peacefully walking on the footpath, but a large number of bikers kept honking at him to move aside for an easy pass. When will people in India understand that the footpath is for pedestrians, not bikes?

As Chanakya said: “Before you start some work, always ask yourself 3 questions: Why am I doing it? What the results might be? Will I be successful? Only when you think deeply and find satisfactory answers to these questions, go ahead.” The Strait of Hormuz falling from 61% to 33% is the single greatest strategic achievement for India's energy security in decades. Hormuz is controlled by Iran's proximity. By halving its dependency on this single 21 mile wide stretch of water, India has effectively neutralized the threat of a Middle Eastern war shutting down its economy. Notice the Cape of Good Hope stayed relatively stable but significant. This is India’s "Plan B." It is more expensive & takes longer, but India is keeping that route warm to ensure that even if the Suez & Hormuz are blocked, the lights stay on.

It's a global energy crisis. But India is far better positioned than it was in 2020.

A lot of people may not like this. But the way this govt has handled crisis whether Covid or Trump's tantrums or the energy issues now is beyond commendable. One can always nitpick and find fault with some things but big picture the current team at the top led by PM Modi have done things for which they rarely get much credit. I don't think India has seen such confident handling of dire situations since independence. The capability building, relationship building, the India first approach, the confidence and the execution has been next level. I can't think of any other previous govt handing things like this.

Dear two-wheeler riders, I’m writing to express a concern I’ve been having. Many of you attempt to squeeze onto my left and pass me while I’m turning left, despite my car’s left turn indicator flashing for the last half a minute. You also do so just as I start turning. You accelerate instead of slowing down. I’m curious about your habits. When you set your mixer jar at home, do you put your head inside it before turning it on? I’d really appreciate your response. Please write back to me.
