The war with Iran is leading to some of the highest oil price spikes we've seen in modern history. This doesn't just lead to skyrocketing gas prices — higher fuel costs ripple through shipping and supply chains, driving up the cost of food and everyday goods. The American public has the right to know what the Administration's plan is for gas and energy prices. Will they order the Navy to start escorting ships through the Strait of Hormuz, risking the lives of American sailors? Will they release supply from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (which the President decided not to refill last year when prices were low)? Why is the US removing sanctions on Russian oil sales when they know proceeds will fund the war in Ukraine? I am boycotting Trump’s State of the Union tonight. Instead, I’ve invited an Epstein survivor and constituent to attend, and I will be speaking at the People’s State of the Union.

I was inspired yesterday to hear @CAgovernor Gavin Newsom openly discuss his learning differences. Don’t be distracted by BS — his words were not directed at one race of people, but were meant for all of us. It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish - and his story is an inspiration to all of us.
