We thought Jerry would be home by now after his heart valve replacement surgery but sadly he has suffered 2 small strokes, the first one just 3 days after surgery. He was doing so well but he suffered another stroke yesterday. I'm reaching out to the aviation community to help us get him through this. We need our Jerry back. One of my best friends has broken down in his Capri in Northampton. Reported it to the @TheRAC_UK at 3.30pm and they’ve estimated they’ll be there between 9pm & MIDNIGHT! You just know they’re going to arrive with a van and then it’ll be another 5 hours for a flat bed! If you’re near the BP on Northampton Road give him a beep! I don’t think the RAC seem fit for purpose looking at recent issues with them RAC. @RAC_Care

⛰️Hilltop landing🌴 Many airstrips in Papua eventually expand enough to become sealed runways which is sad for us bush pilots but useful for the local villagers who then benefit from larger aircraft which reduces the cost of items bought in my air 💸

🛬 Landing at 7500ft ⛰️ Ilaga is one of the busier airstrips in the highlands of Papua with daily flights coming in from all over the province. This Twin Otter barely needs the 600m of runway available which is impressive considering the density altitude here 👌🏻

🔥Hot, high and steep⛰️ Wipon at 8000ft elevation in equatorial Papua, offers a deceptive challenge for bush pilots. The landing ground speed is increased by 15-20kts thanks to anabatic winds and its high elevation and warm climate. At lease the 24% slope slows you down fast 😱
