Han Xu looked solid on both ends in her limited minutes tonight. If a larger role still doesn’t appear to be in the plans this season, it may be time for her to seriously consider requesting a trade. She has already spent three crucial developmental years in New York, largely out of loyalty to the city, the fans, and perhaps the opportunities that come with playing there. But the reality is that the Liberty are one of the league’s deepest and most star-studded teams, making it difficult for her to consistently earn the role many expected her to grow into. This season could be a pivotal moment in her career — perhaps the last real opportunity to develop into the star-caliber player many believe she can become. Sometimes growth requires stepping outside of your comfort zone and pursuing a situation where your talent can fully flourish. Best wishes to the one and only Han Xu!

Fever should be as transparent as possible due to Caitlin Clark’s star power and in fairness to fans. But it’s also worth pointing out Clark is a part of this process. She’s talked about overcoming mental hurdles of injuries so not surprising if she’s being extra cautious.

The #Fever have received a warning from the @WNBA regarding proper injury reporting. This stems from the last-minute scratch of #CaitlinClark before last night’s game with the Fire.
Yahoo Sports@YahooSports

The Indiana Fever has received a warning related to proper injury report designations over Caitlin Clark's injury, per ESPN's @alexaphilippou. Due to WNBA injury rules, “player injuries” and “participation status” must be reported by 5 p.m. local time the day before a game. Clark was not listed on the team’s injury report Tuesday and then was declared out for Wednesday's game.
