A couple of things I played around with, mainly trying out a white background, making it more print friendly and striping away some of the technical data, don’t worry, a data heavy version will still be available, especially post-launch where I will include all the mission stats. Also I will still produce updates with a dark background. What do you prefer?

Artemis II will send humans on a journey around the moon for the first time in more than 50 years. It’s part of NASA’s detailed launch program to return humans to the lunar surface. Here’s your (unofficial) step-by-step infographic guide to the mission, with a launch date of no earlier than April 1, 2026. I have also included a variant with a white background.

@MilTech_Lover I felt reposting this infographic and reminding people of Apollo 13 would reenforce any current reservations some may have of Artemis 2 and NASA. Know that the crew of Integrity couldn’t be in safer hands.

@InfographicTony This mission taught us more about redundancy and emergency procedures than any successful flight. Near-disaster reveals what success conceals.

Apollo 13 (unofficial) infographic flashback One of the darkest moments in the history of America’s space program proved to be one of NASA’s finest hours. Apollo 13 was America’s third lunar landing mission but when a Service Module oxygen tank ruptured, the attempt was aborted and a desperate race to save the crew began. Classified a ‘successful failure’, this is how the historic mission unfolded. I have included a comprehensive version detailing the mission step-by-step, plus a stripped-back visual version.

@RyanHansenSpace The devil is in the details, you my friend are a master craftsman, what is also missing is you are not just a creator/animator, your knowledge and research into how everything functions is beyond the scope of us mere mortals. Thanks Ryan for the passion that you share with us.

I really wish YouTube would understand that I primarily create 3D animations which take time to build, render, and edit which isn't remotely equivalent to someone who picks up a camera and videos something already built.

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman
The race back to the Moon is measured in months.
China has made its ambitions clear. They’re going to get there BEFORE 2030. America must lead on the ultimate high ground of space—returning astronauts to the Moon and winning the second space race, and we’re going to take tangible steps to do that in 2028.

The non-space press missed the key elements of Isaacman’s revamp of Artemis. They perceived it as some sort of delay, which is wrong. Technically it was Sean Duffy who moved the lunar landing to 2028 last year. But in reality, under his plans, there was no chance of an Artemis landing this decade. The dates were all fiction. Isaacman is changing things to make a 2028 or 2029 landing possible. That nuance may be hard for some to grasp, but it is reality.
