This is the image I have been waiting to see from SpaceX, now I can complete my 3D model and Flight 12 infographic.

My favorite creative thing to do, more than illustrating and 3D modeling is montages. I love assembling the finished elements. A little secret I’ll share with you, I am a huge fan of movie posters, especially from the 70s, 80s and 90s. I approach each infographic I do as if it was a movie posters, telling the story in one visual.

@InfographicTony @jackywacky_3 I think that scale is from the book, the ship is much much smaller in the book with only 2/3 real habitable rooms. I’d imagine the crew compartment in the movie is atleast the same size as the ISS modules

Nice model Jack. My thoughts on scale, based on set photos from the film, the cockpit is about 3.5 to 4 meters in diameter, which represents one segment of the liveable space on the Hail Mary. Starship is 9 meters in diameter, I think Hail Mary would be approximately double the size you have it scaled to Starship. I absolutely love its design, I have the Lego version but want to do a custom version, ironically, double the size of the official Lego set.

I don’t have the answers, I have ideas, I put this out there to generate awareness and debate. I would even be comfortable with AI generated photos being labelled “digital images” or “digitally created”, at the end of the day I don’t care how it was created, just that it’s not a truely captured photograph of reality.

@InfographicTony @MarcusHouse @johnkrausphotos Agree. But how would you credit something where some parts were done by me, and I just used AI to improve or change things. Should I still write into the image that AI was used?

My issue isn’t creatives using AI, by all means, prompt away. My issue is the irresponsible way in which certain individuals are using it, specifically to deceive or at the least, posting fake and wildly inaccurate imagery and text on subjects they clearly know nothing about. Also please label your use of AI generated images, by you doing so promotes others to do the same, that is how you normalise such acts. History needs to be able to look back at what was fact and what was fiction, as far as visual evidence, right now we are in a very grey area historically.

I think when posting photorealistic art and animation you should label as artwork, regardless of whether you use AI, photoshop or 3D apps. By posting such realistic images without labelling as such, your intent or at the perception of intent, is to deceive, regardless of accuracy.

@InfographicTony @MarcusHouse @johnkrausphotos This is a part of the revolution... The same thing happened many years ago, when the first PC came to life. Many people were like that too, and now, everyone is using a PC.

What we do now as content creators, fighting this early onslaught of AI slop, will have ramifications on future posts that are, what I consider AI disinformation. I’m never going to voice my political opinions on any world stage agenders (that isn’t why you follow me), but when you enter my territory of expertise of aerospace and attempt to deceive with AI slop, I’m going to voice my views. This (the advent of AI generated lies) is going to get worse before it gets better. Trust me, it won’t last, at least with the help of you, taking a stand and saying enough is enough. I say this with confidence, because I can not imagine a world in 5 years from now, where there is so much fake imagery that no one will trust anything they see or read. Heck, that is already an issue now. We need to fight these lies, please show your support with highly regarded experts like @Erdayastronaut , @johnkrausphotos , @MarcusHouse and other respected space influencers, let’s do this together, Stop the AI slop.

@InfographicTony I really wish social media/YouTube were not in bed with AI and were instead standing up for clear labelling of AI content. Let consumers make an informed choice.

Banning a thing does the opposite as to its intent. Really it’s not the platforms job to do so, it’s up to us, educating, forming a collective community and rebelling against the prompters. We aren’t going to stop AI but we can sure as heck teach it a lesson. It’s up to us to show our dissatisfaction, for us to push the etiquette of labelling AI content.
