This reminded me of how cursed SN10 looked sitting on it's engine skirt after hitting the ground at like 10m/s, crushing the landing legs which hadn't even deployed properly lol.

Cool video of New Glenn’s fairing re-entry. For this flight we installed an exo-atmospheric reaction control system (RCS) in the fairing to control re-entry and enable recovery of the fairing. We’re planning a parachute recovery later this year, and the data from these fairings gives us the learnings needed to develop and refine that capability.

@InfographicTony @jackywacky_3 I think that scale is from the book, the ship is much much smaller in the book with only 2/3 real habitable rooms. I’d imagine the crew compartment in the movie is atleast the same size as the ISS modules

@jackywacky_3 All my searches quote it as being about 47-50 meters in length though the scale doesn’t make sense. Do you have a human to scale with Hail Mary, that would give you a better idea of how big the habitation modules should be thus the scale of the rest of the ship.

It’s been 4 months now since B19 was at the stage B20 is at and it’s still not ready for launch. That’s why I have such a doom and gloom look on the starship program this year. If Flight 12 goes almost perfectly then I’ll start seeming good

@JohnTheMon2 @Truthful_ast I get that but they’ve said that every year for the past 3 years, and even with gigabay up and running by the end of the year (probably) I still don’t think starfactory can handle the cadence they want. B20 isn’t even confirmed fully stacked yet, it’ll be atleast a 2 month gap
