I was today years old when I found out that you can hit F7 in the command prompt windows to see all previously run commands (vs. scrolling through them all with the up arrow!)

The senior leadership team hates it when I point this out every year.

@AdamSinger We never expected anything but if they had more, I think they would have shared. And we fully intend to help ours get a better start vs. any potential payday for when we kill over. Times have changed, life is too short, and you can’t take it with you.

@AdamSinger Neither my parents or in-laws have much but they helped in any way they could along the way. As me & my SO have increased our salaries, we’ve now actually helped them some financially.

Have a friend like this. Parents worth closer to 20M. They live alone in giant house in fla, angry at the world most of the time. Kids are responsible & work hard, not rich. Truly strange phenomenon. Don't have a father so hard to relate, but seems weird to not level up your kids

If it makes you feel any better, my rural area is very quiet, but it has also reeked of manure for the last three weeks because the farmers are spreading it in their fields after harvesting the corn and beans. 🤣😭

@UK_Daniel_Card We were taught to sell the benefits and value vs. the thing itself. Or at least talk about those things first. When I got into security, and then risk, and I raised the notion of positive risk, I think sone minds were blown. Granted, I don’t always do this as the shoe has to fit.

@UK_Daniel_Card Very true. I spent my earlier years in retail and for a while, was mad that I waited so long to switch into tech. However, as I’ve gotten older and served in senior positions, I quickly realized that I was really in retail still, just selling security more than doing it!

what if you stopped using risk as the business case and started using opportunity for cyber investments? That's literally how we do everything else in business! You want marketing budget: YOU SELL THE OUTCOMES You need more sales budget: OUTCOMES! You need to improve operations and reduce defects? SELL THE OUTCOMES but SECURITY... NAH mATe: I've done a Risk = likelihood (guess) x impact (guess) and it's all a cost centre! What if we didn't do this?

I just spent almost an hour researching why a new docking station wasn't working and it turned out that the cable to my laptop wasn't fully seated into the port on the dock. 🤦 I think it's time to log off for the day. 🤣😭

@InterestingSTEM Isn’t this just called a dehumidifier? Granted, maybe it has a filter built in to purify but why is this “crazy new technology”?

Shiiiiiit. I just gave my son 16 year old admin rights for the first time on his computer today. Big milestone for him. With great power comes great responsibility. He’s also on his own VLAN.

@British_Airways @AmericanAir At Oslo airport with a AA6630/BA763 flight departing in 1.5 hours & been standing in a huge line for checking in for over 30 mins and it’s barely moved. Only 2 agents for hundreds of passengers. Woefully understaffed. I have connections to make.
