Happy Airwolf Sunday everyone! 🥳 This opening scene from Firestorm Airwolf: Season 2, Episode 2 is just perfect! This was shot near Palmdale, CA. The Santini Air Bell 206 is almost as iconic as Airwolf itself. This maneuver is rather mundane to preform in a 206, you dive the nose towards the ground with forward cyclic but induce some left anti-torque pedal to stop your airspeed from exceeding VNE along with some aft cyclic. At the bottom, you enter a pirouette and just fly out of it. When you’re doing pirouettes like this, you tend to pause and fly backwards but you have to mind your airspeed because those horizontal stabilizers and the vertical stab are fighting you. Helicopters are not meant to be flown backwards. “It’s got no beans!” It’s not Airwolf, that’s not your problem “What the hell you do with a man that falls in love with a machine?”

Do you know when Global Storm 24 and/or 25 were? - I have a recording for the date of GS 23 as July 2023. - I've come to suspect GS24 might've been the 240623 exercise mis-IDed as an impromptu "show of force" in the Norwegian Sea. Without knowing more about what exactly GS, I haven't really been willing to hazard guesses about which SKYMASTER or other exercise might've been a GS in 2025, but am now also wondering if it's plausible for a GS to take place in March.

@iemats I think one major question (at least to me) is, do these FORCE & REGION units exist in between periods of exercise. If so, why don't they get messages all year?
