Builders FirstSource $BLDR among biggest losers on S&P today. Nothing unique as $ITB down 2% and it's among the higher beta names in there. $NVR, $DHR, $LEN, $PHG all around -2%. $HD and $LOW around -1%. Interesting that $BLD is down half that of $BLDR, as they're both around same beta. This did lead me to double up on $BLDR today, with intention of selling higher cost 250 later. Have done this on BLDR since around $140 downward.

Simple but true: SaaS stocks who have Superbowl commercials and similar are too desperate. $CRM and $WDAY are examples. Similarly, today's 27% plunge in Monday.com $MNDY. I saw their billboards blanketing the entire outside and inside of Sydney airport. A clue.

Anyone who follows me knows my take on leveraged ETFs. I do make rare exceptions and buy $TQQQ and $SOXL, such as in April which I still hold. Well, now we have a 2x play on $UNH stock with $UNHG Leverage Shares 2X Long UNH Daily ETF. Is this a good or bad thing? Well, I’m not a fan of leveraged ETFs generally. If you search my feed you will see hypothetical backtesting of how if $TQQQ existed 25 years ago and you bought, you would still be down or close to breakeven. That said, this is generically speaking and not investment advice, I support any and all things which might contribute to a $UNH rip-your-face-off rally to piss off Ackman.

@brent_e_trader Most all class action law suits based on share price falling on news are the same. Its just the attorneys wanting to file a suit so they can charge fees against the most likely result of a settlement. All they need is the name of a shareholder to be the Lead Plaintiff.

Just to give you an idea of the lame-ass complainers and losers suing corporations, this guy filed a class action lawsuit against $UNH and he owns only 10 shares. Are you freaking kidding me? $SPY $QQQ $TLT

@brent_e_trader @gofallingknife @SayNoToTrading Its how business has been conducted for a long time. UNH even told regulators what they were doing and asked for clarification. Regulators didn't care and no legislation has been passed to change anything. Now some congress members desperate for attention are trying claim fraud.

@Is_AI_BS @gofallingknife @SayNoToTrading There's no fraud in the example. The doctor's notes (which is how UNH even knew to "up-code") says the patient has history of diabetes. Plus the patient probably got diabetes medication in the hospital. But this "up-coding" gives UNH more money and the DOJ is saying it's fraud.

@Is_AI_BS @gofallingknife @SayNoToTrading Need to watch out for the DOJ lawsuits. Those are multi-billion dollar penalties AND directly impacts what UNH can do in the future. For example, can UNH coders add ICD codes that physicians forgot to bill, but the patient really had such diagnoses?

Class action law suits are always just a way for attorneys to make money. The cases will often end in settlement and shareholders get very little.

@RentYourStocks @wags6700 Most likely people w shares trying to lower basis combined w OPEX today. PUT sellers were caught off guard & assigned shares this week. Some may have anticipated the assignment & began selling CALLS to lower basis. The premiums are pumped for August.

@wags6700 Clearly. Also, I don't know where all these calls are coming from. These are just naked calls they hold till expiration and let them fall off.

Never seen a stock sell off day after day while being in the Top 10 buy on Fidelity and with NOTHING but call selling on the tape. On a valuation basis $ELV is NOW cheaper than $UNH, but nobody is accumulating $ELV. Day after day we keep building up, like the pressure of hot water on the stove in a pan, until dealers have to start moving up the right side of the distribution instead of the left. Nobody is buying puts, it is all call selling. We might get a sell-off on earnings, and it is still very possible we move up to 310 by earnings, but I think the ER will be the catalyst for slow grind up to 380. Even once we get going through ER there will be pullbacks, and we have to get through tax-loss harvesting season as well.

@RepGregMurphy @UHC Funny that the Special Master has recommended dismissal of the lawsuit against UnitedHealth due to lack of evidence. Dr Potter has a GoFundMe account that is living off half truth sad news stories about UnitedHealth, so we know she has no bias.

I've been told by $UNH employees and providers commenting that actually, NONE OF THEM refer to it as UNH. If they're going to use initials they say UHC, or UHG for UnitedHealth Group. NOT the stock ticker. Only investors call it UNH. The plastic surgeon who went viral has a GoFundMe. I found it interesting that she refers to the company as UNH repeatedly and guess who the first donor was, forking over $100k? Yep, @BillAckman Are we really supposed to believe he doesn't have any ulterior motives here???
