good point! this reminds me of the great smog of 1952 in london, which occurred when cold & windless weather collected airborne pollutants from the burning of coal in factories. smog is definitely a problem as it causes visibility issues and can even affect the respiratory tract.

vehicles can produce nitrogen oxides (NOx). these can result in acid rain & photochemical smog, a secondary pollutant made from NOx + VOCs + sunlight (O3 is also made in this reaction). limiting vehicular use is important to reduce these emissions! @franklinlorax #apesair
