@mtnhousewife It’s what the great majority of women are hardwired to do. Most women will retire from work outside the home as soon as they can.

Housewifery is a vocation, which, if you are doing it right, is going to take most of your day, energy and focus. I feel like this is a claim that has to be defended right now.

@LIVTracking As I remember they made the switch in the ‘90s. I took it as a grab at credibility. It’s very cool to watch. But among the majors it ranks last. So much luck is involved. Anyone can win it. Calling it The Open makes it sound like it’s the best. It’s not.

A research team led by Anders Hviid in Denmark recently published a study in Annals of Internal Medicine examining whether aluminum exposure from childhood vaccines is associated with an increased risk of chronic disorders. The study assessed 50 conditions, including 36 autoimmune diseases, 9 atopic/allergic disorders, and 5 neurodevelopmental disorders (including autism). TLDR: The study found no evidence that aluminum exposure from vaccines in the first two years of life increases the risk of any of these chronic conditions by age five. The analysis used data from the Danish national health registries, including over 1.2 million children born between 1997 and 2018. Aluminum exposure from vaccines by age two ranged from 0 to 4.5 mg. The primary analysis used Cox proportional hazards models to estimate the relative risk increase for each outcome per 1 mg increase in aluminum exposure, adjusting for a broad set of predefined confounders. These included demographic variables, temporal factors, maternal characteristics, and birth-related variables. When looking at the grouped categories, no association was found: Autoimmune diseases: HR = 0.98 (95% CI: 0.94–1.02) Atopic/allergic disorders: HR = 0.99 (95% CI: 0.98–1.01) Neurodevelopmental disorders: HR = 0.93 (95% CI: 0.90–0.97) These confidence intervals indicate that the data are statistically incompatible with: More than a 2% increase in risk for autoimmune diseases, More than a 1% increase for atopic/allergic disorders, Any increase in risk for neurodevelopmental disorders. Similar findings were observed for individual conditions, including notable results: Asthma: HR = 0.96 (95% CI: 0.94–0.98) Atypical autism: HR = 0.94 (95% CI: 0.79–1.12) A wide range of sensitivity analyses confirmed the robustness of the findings. These included: Stratification by sex and birth year, Using exposure through 14 months instead of 2 years, Following outcomes through ages 3, 4, or 8 years, Restricting to complete cases, Modeling aluminum exposure categorically (e.g., above/below median; low/medium/high exposure groups). Conclusion: This large, comprehensive registry-based study provides strong reassurance that aluminum exposure from childhood vaccines does not increase the risk of autoimmune, allergic, or neurodevelopmental disorders. As with all observational studies, some limitations remain (notably, the possibility of residual confounding), but the study’s size, design, and consistency across analyses make its findings highly credible.

@IsgittJohn @jsm2334 injecting aluminum into bloodstream is much more harmful than *ingesting* aluminum orally. Clear now?

Here’s a random Monday morning ‘hypothetical’ question. What if LIV went to a 35 event, full 120 person field, dual shotgun start(morning and afternoon) and the current LIV events were the ‘elevated’ events within the schedule 🤔 Where would those additional players come from and what would happen to the PGA Tour then?
