And you won’t fix fuel bills by adding more expensive fuel. The price is pegged to gas and renewables relish this scheme because of how cheap it is.

But in any case, if you don’t think reducing household energy/fuel bills significantly will improve the social contract, or trying to remove the issue of distrust in government institutions, then again, I don’t know what else to tell you.

Ehh yeah sure - Completely ripping up the current planning laws and redoing them to facilitate mass construction - Restructuring taxation to remove various tax traps, abolishing council tax and national insurance by just rolling it into income tax - Investing in fossil fuels and nuclear energy with the aim of becoming a net exporter of energy - Increasing the income thresholds for visa eligibility and abolishing various current visa programmes which are contributing to wage and productivity suppression - Removing the pull factors and incentives and increasing the push factors and disincentives for illegal migration - Build far more prisons and reforming sentencing guidelines for criminality (and beefing up funding for law enforcement) - Abolish triple lock pensions and means test the state pension, similarly simplifying welfare and cutting it substantially - Considerably reducing the size and scope of the civil service - Interest rates and long term yields will likely have dropped considerably following the above decisions facilitating investment in lots of infrastructure and reonshoring of various industrial sectors Wasn’t really what you had it pegged for was it?
