A biproduct of becoming a Christian was the realization that secular morality is subjective and sometimes arbitrary, and thus it's chaotic. How could I strive to make objectively good choices in an environment where morality is subjective? It's impossible, and it's part of the reason atheists lean towards worshipping Science to create some sense of a "higher authority" that they can invoke. As an atheist I constantly measured myself against my own wants and whims, which is a recipe for disaster considering how flawed humans inherently are. Whether you call it sin or human nature, having no objective order to life is anxiety inducing and atheistic attempts to mimic that order fail miserably. I've found incredible freedom and comfort following Jesus Christ.
