Here’s our article “Museums in Serbia and Blockchain Technology”, published in the @IcomOfficiel Serbia Magazine for the 27th ICOM General Conference 2025 (Dubai). It summarises the steps we took to introduce Web3 and blockchain to the Serbian museum landscape — from panels at the National Museum of Serbia and Museum of Contemporary Art Belgrade to opening legal & institutional dialogue on how these technologies can serve cultural heritage. NFT euphoria explained in under 30 sec:

The NFT market continues to undergo big changes. Total market cap is still near all-time lows. Art projects are starting to enter the top ranks in a huge way. The top 10 in market cap now includes three art projects, it used to be completely dominated by PFP projects. Outside of CryptoPunks, there is no project with a market cap of more than $100M USD. Multi-chain is dead, all of the most valuable projects are on Ethereum (Hypurrs is the exception). Previously Solana and Bitcoin also played a big role. Only seven collections have a 30-day trading volume of more than $1M USD. Opensea is back to total domination of market share (59%)

Saw some people panicking or asking about quantum computing's impact on crypto. At a high level, all crypto has to do is to upgrade to Quantum-Resistant (Post-Quantum) Algorithms. So, no need to panic. 😂 In practice, there are some execution considerations. It's hard to organize upgrades in a decentralized world. There will likely be many debates on which algorithm(s) to use, resulting in some forks. And some dead project may not upgrade at all. Might be a good to cleanse out those projects anyway. New code may introduce other bugs or security issues in the short term. People who self custody will have to migrate their coins to new wallets. This brings to the question of Satoshi's bitcoins. If those coins move, then it means he/she is still around, which is interesting to know. If they don't move (in a certain period of time), it might be better to lock (or effectively burn) those addresses so that they don't go to the first hacker who cracks it. There is also the difficulty of identifying all his addresses, and not confuse with some old hodlers. Anyway, it's a different topic for later. Fundamentally: It's always easier to encrypt than decrypt. More computing power is always good. Crypto will stay, post quantum.

End of an era! @impossible_ has acquired the @rarible brand and key platform assets. What a wild 6-year ride. Collins Dictionary named NFT as Word of the Year in 2021. From Artists to Collectors to Brands - NFT culture is unerasable from the internet. NFTs are a byproduct of consumer Web3 that largely hasn't happened yet and the reason for that is low density of users with onchain wallets. We're only a 30–60M monthly active wallet industry and this is not enough to scale consumer apps. First we need to finalize migration of finance on crypto rails, make sure everyone has a wallet and then retry consumer revolution on top of this new identity layer. I see this as a mission for the whole space as well as for my personal exploration.
