The pot holes on lane 1 westbound will throw a biker off and cars are swerving into lane 2 to avoid them. The lane should be completely closed.

@IanSollom Ian, what's the estimated additional cost impact for this? Nobody wants to be disrupted by trains, but we also want to avoid cost increases making the project less viable. We don't want another "bat tunnel" situation!

When I met with the East West Rail Working Group in Caldecote and visited sites that would be impacted by a cut and cover tunnel, I heard that a change to a mined tunnel would significantly reduce disruption for residents in the years it will take to build the new train line.

Having met with East West Rail (EWR) many times over the past year to raise concerns from the local community and discuss possible improvements to the project, I welcome the announcement today that it will be changing plans for tunnelling near Caldecote and Bourn Airfield.

When their hair goes, many men, including myself, grow a goatee, full beard or (long gay coded but who knows) moustache to compensate, make themselves seem less pebble or egg like and suggest a degree of virility or at least viability.

@BristOliver More seriously, there's a direct link to the F1 KERS systems. The Department Formerly Known As DECC awarded funding some years back to Williams F1 (and others) to develop flywheel tech for energy storage. So maybe the metric could be the number of F1 cars on the side of the Shard
