@NancyMace If you're advocating for giving a special exemption to seniors rather than just eliminating property taxes altogether, then I oppose you. All taxes are immoral but property taxes are especially insidious. Also not that it matters but seniors are the wealthiest age group.

Our seniors should not pay property taxes.

@DrunkRepub Thomas Massie is the only one trying to actually change things. Trump campaigned like Massie and is governing like John McCain.

For the record I liked Massie for years. Tucker and others too. But my common sense forces me to be wary of those attempting to sabotage the mandate Trump was given in ‘24. Jumping ship at the very moment real change was possible stinks. Sorry, it just does.

Being a hypocrite should absolutely be called out. As for gerrymandering itself, I find it hard to blame anyone for doing it. The system incentivizes it. It's stupid not to do it. It's an inherent flaw in representative democracy. The best solution imo is not laws against it (which can be gamed) but make districts much smaller in the populations they represent so that gerrymandering isn't worth the effort. We should have thousands of reps in the House. Ideally fighting each other. With swords.

btw this guy is a prime example of what i spoke about in yesterday's video rightoids who are pro-gerrymandering when they do it and anti-gerrymandering when democrats do it, simply because they want to topple the current system, are actually just bad people

You can't tax rich people on unrealized gains from stocks because "it's not real money until it's sold." So explain to me why my property taxes keep going up based on the unrealized value of my house? I didn't sell it. I didn't cash out. I didn't make a profit. But somehow I'm paying taxes on paper gains every single year. Interesting how "unrealized gains" only become a problem when wealthy folks are involved.

Republicans need to focus on domestic policy. Voters care about cost of gas, groceries, homes, etc. because it’s part of their daily lives. We’ve delivered some good wins, but if we don’t deliver on what we promised for the average American, we’ll have the midterms we deserve.

The voters in Kentucky didn't change, Thomas Massie did. When you do a 180 on the movement, the base is going to do a 180 on you. Why on earth would a conservative district keep a Republican who acts as a secondary wall of obstruction? The people voted for Trump's agenda.
