i don’t understand why the left is against voter id while simultaneously saying how it won’t make a difference because people aren’t illegally voting
so then pass the law? if the results are the same and it makes no difference, it takes away the talking point

Bro come on, the algorithmic changes, regardless of what's driving it be it grok or employee directed, has murdered the basic function of the site. Social media is meant to be social and part of that dynamic is building a web of interests. While topics and hash tags preform that to a degree most choose people and use their accounts via following as a proxy. I see something funny, interesting etc I want to see more so I follow the source. X has murdered that. When you follow someone you don't get an account you enjoy you get broken rng that calculates a percent of a percent of whether you'll see their tweet. You've stripped features rather than add them. You've taken a cornerstone and thrown it in the trash and now people are left with botted posts, ai spam, and grifting. Also the argument that "what if someone follows a thousand accounts if we showed every tweet it would spam their timeline" is crap. It functioned before this change and small modifications through user tailoring would address it. X feels like a canyon with only your own echos bouncing back.

As a user, it's simple. I open the @X app. Here's what I hope to see — and I suspect many of you do too:
1. Great, informative, useful, or entertaining content (by humans, machines, or companies)
2. Real, authentic — even “boring” — posts from the people and networks I actually care about
3. No spam, bad bots, or reply farming
As an X employee who uses it every day, I believe we’re actively building toward exactly this.
