@hasufl The bigger need I think is to allow for larger individual smart contracts. Seaport, etc. had to get clever to stay under the limit, and I've been out for a while but I don't think it's gotten any better.

A fact I feel like almost nobody knows: Ethereum's gas limit will be increased to ~200M after Glamsterdam, a huge increase from the 60M we have today. That’s a 3x+ of L1 execution capacity, with expectation of further doubling soons after that. Assuming no similar increase in demand, fees could stay near zero for years. This is the result of several innovations coming together at the right time: ePBS gives payloads more time, BALs let clients prefetch/parallelize execution work, and gas repricings make higher limits safe.

Waymo vehicles have a 13x lower rate of serious accidents than human drivers. Six generations of hardware. Thousands of innovations in AI and software. 170M+ fully autonomous miles. For 20 years @Dmitri_Dolgov has been focused on making driving safer. While dozens of companies have come and gone, Dmitri persisted. He knows that getting to "good" is easy, getting to "great" is hard and getting to "super human safety" is extreme. Dmitri chooses extreme. My favorite part about him? He’s extremely humble about all this and remains focused on what's next: scaling. We're grateful to have hosted Dmitri and his @Waymo team at @sequoia AI Ascent last week. @Rvince99Vince @hasufl Your link still requires two signatures that the owner has to protect. It doesn't solve the problem.

@hasufl Because people still have the misguided idea that the blockchain is the final arbiter of "Ownership." Take that away, and all these exploits disappear. lemnicoin.com

"Defi has a key management problem" It always has, and not just Defi but crypto in general. Private key storage remains a huge problem. Unless we manage to 10-100x the UX from status quo, I expect 95%+ of funds to end up institutional custody within 5 years.
Sid⚡️@sidrmsh

Hot take: DeFi doesn't have a smart contract security problem. It has a key management problem. April's biggest losses (KelpDAO $292M, Drift $285M, Wasabi $5M) were admin key compromises. No timelocks. No multisig. Write better code all you want. But the ops problem still remains.

@hasufl We've just been speed running the rediscovery of why banks exist. Storing your livelihood in a string of text you need to keep super safe and private was never going to be a normal thing.

I’m hearing that some members are upset about the blowback they’re receiving from their constituents for voting against the amendment to remove pesticide liability protections. I have absolutely nothing to do with that. I don’t control activists, influencers, outside groups, or anyone else, and it’s a pretty big cop-out to suggest otherwise. Newsflash: people are genuinely upset that this provision was added to the Farm Bill and that it would have given liability protections to pesticide companies.

The enormity of what Democrats have opted for cannot be understated. No one to stop dangerous individuals from making their way into our country, and no one to catch and deport these dangerous individuals if they do make it in. As long as Republicans are in charge, we’re going to do everything we can to protect our borders and keep dangerous criminal illegal aliens off our streets.

Everybody acts as if having an Android is like living in the ghetto, but Android has much more accurate dictation than iPhone. Not even close. Editing a typo in the middle of a word is much easier. Swiping generates more accurate results, too I want my Android back
