Lastly, we show that ATG2 transfers TAG in vitro, and we use isotopically labeled OA and lipidomics to show that ATG2 enriches in TAG when cells are starved after OA loading.

Thrilled to share our work showing that the bridge lipid transport protein ATG2A transfers diacylglycerol (DAG), and TAG/PA, from the ER to LDs, thereby recruiting DGAT2 to drive local TAG synthesis, promoting LD expansion while protecting ER membranes. nature.com/articles/s4159…
