My colleague in Rafah said today, “We all fear for our lives.” Our worst fears have come true. Last night’s horrific attack on a displacement camp killed 45 civilians and injured 200+. Thousands of people in Rafah are stuck with no means to evacuate. We need a ceasefire now.

Utter horror in Rafah tonight. The IDF has struck tents housing displaced people in an area that #Israel had designated a humanitarian zone & encouraged #Gaza’ns to evacuate to. At least 30 people are dead. Videos are circulating of mutilated children amidst the destroyed tents, which are still on fire.
