Asked why he didn't coordinate with allies before going to war with Iran, Trump says, "We didn't tell anyone about it. Who knows better about surprise than Japan? Why didn't you tell me about Pearl Harbor, OK?"

After more than a decade of uncertainty, this interpretation will provide market participants with a clear understanding of how the SEC treats crypto assets under federal securities laws. This is what regulatory agencies are supposed to do: draw clear lines in clear terms.
U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission@SECGov

TODAY 🚨: The Commission issued an interpretation that clarifies the application of federal securities laws to crypto assets. This is a major step to provide greater clarity regarding the Commission’s treatment of crypto assets. Read the release here: ow.ly/XhhV50YvxvO

The “Ozempic body” insult is just aesthetic snobbery dressed up as health advice. When someone loses 20–30% of their body weight, blood pressure drops, sleep apnea improves, joints hurt less, and their risk of heart attack falls. If that offends an influencer’s sense of beauty, medicine will somehow survive. And the irony is thick: Saladino rails against “pharmaceutical shortcuts” while selling a cabinet full of supplements that have far less evidence than GLP-1 therapy. Yes — eat real food. Yes — move your body. I recommend the Mediterranean pattern all the time. But pretending obesity is solved by telling people to “eat like your great-grandmother” ignores genetics, metabolism, medications, environment, and decades of clinical research. GLP-1 drugs aren’t a shortcut. They’re the first effective medical treatment for obesity we’ve had in a century.
Paul Saladino, MD@paulsaladinomd

"Ozempic bod" is not attractive or healthy. GLP-1s are a shortcut to nowhere good. Eat like a human (single ingredient foods and foods with ingredients your great grandmother would recognize) and move like a human. This is the way.

@NYCMayor Pretty sure Iranian New Yorkers are ecstatic right now and feel pretty safe. What planet are you living in? Why are you so off base? How did you get elected?

Today’s military strikes on Iran — carried out by the United States and Israel — mark a catastrophic escalation in an illegal war of aggression. Bombing cities. Killing civilians. Opening a new theater of war.  Americans do not want this. They do not want another war in pursuit of regime change. They want relief from the affordability crisis. They want peace. I am focused on making sure that every New Yorker is safe. I have been in contact with our Police Commissioner and emergency management officials. We are taking proactive steps, including increasing coordination across agencies and enhancing patrols of sensitive locations out of an abundance of caution. Additionally, I want to speak directly to Iranian New Yorkers: you are part of the fabric of this city — you are our neighbors, small business owners, students, artists, workers, and community leaders. You will be safe here.

I don’t agree with the Trump administration on much but Dr. Means, his nominee for Surgeon General, is right when she says we should ban TV ads for junk food. Obesity is a national crisis and the corporate food industry is largely responsible.

Btw, I was a liberal in the 2000s and haven't changed any of my opinions other than on tax (running your own small business is a bit of a red pill!). Then people came along and said being liberal means open borders, men in women's sports and arresting people for hurty words 😂

I have been monitoring the Venezuela issue all day long, and there are so many questions yet to be answered (thanks to great Pentagon OPSEC), but the strategic reason for bringing down Maduro has become abundantly clear. While we ostensibly captured Maduro based on legitimate, outstanding US drug charges from 2020, the real reason for the military operations early this morning is that neutralizing Maduro's Venezuela had become a strategic imperative for the USA. Under Maduro, Venezuela had become the Latin American crossroads for all of the USA's principal enemies. Maduro was nurturing relationships with Russia, Hezbollah and Iran. Worst of all, Venezuela was eagerly becoming a part of Red China's Belt & Road initiative. As America's enemies were lining up Venezuela as their base of operations in the Western Hemisphere to cause mischief and destruction for the USA, Maduro was at the same time making Venezuela a crossroads, safe haven and enabler for all manner of narcoterrorist operations, ranging from Colombia's FARC to Mexico's Sinaloa cartel. On top of all that, Venezuela had become a key player in the illegal alien invasion of the USA, shipping its very worst to the USA in a deliberate and comprehensive destabilizing operation that might have worked had Donald Trump not won in 2024. Next in importance: oil. The global and regional ambitions of both China and Russia are in large part dependent on the politics of petroleum, and the USA just deprived both of the cudgel afforded by friendly Venezuelan oil. Trump opponents say "It's about oil" as if that was a bad thing. Yeah, it's about oil. Finally, all of this was in keeping with the most essential and fundamental foreign policy mandate of the USA almost since the nation's inception: the Monroe Doctrine. Operations like what Maduro was running simply cannot be allowed in the Western Hemisphere. Trump was right for falling back on this most basic of doctrines that protects the USA's sovereignty. So was Maduro seized because of some five year-old drug charges? Yes. Legally--yes. However, like so many strategic issues in the world today, an action needed to be backed by the fine points of law, and it was. But the reality is that the Maduro takedown was a Monroe Doctrine-driven necessity that has greatly enhanced the power and national security of the USA. Congratulations, Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, Pete Hegseth and the rest of the Trump national security team: you boldly took the steps necessary to defend the USA. Well done.

🚨 WOW. Brown University student Alex Shieh previously EVISCERATED the school's administrators for having a $46 million deficit, despite surging costs for students. They pay $90K+ PER YEAR. Alex Shieh: "What about the kids who weren't born on third base?! [...] Brown is on track to run a $46 million DEFICIT this year. WHERE is all the money going?" "I'll tell you where it's going. It's going into an empire of administrative bloat and bureaucracy! Brown employs 3,805 full time non-instructional staff for just 7,229 undergrads. That's one administrator for every two students." "This isn't education. This is bloat paid for on the backs of students and families who are mortgaging their futures for a shot at a better life!" HE'S SPOT-ON.

I’ll likely never post about this again, but I felt compelled as someone many young women look up to and often misunderstand. I love my husband. I love my independence. I love being a CEO. But more than anything, I love love. Somehow we’ve been told we have to choose: Be strong or be soft. Be ambitious or be nurturing. Be independent or value men. But the truth is, the most fulfilled women I know live on the AND, not the OR. I want to build companies, lead teams, land make big decisions all day and I also want to come home, let my husband make decisions and cook for him because it brings me joy and comfort. That duality doesn’t make me less. It makes me a human. Being independent is empowering… but dependence (the healthy kind) is what creates closeness. It’s what builds trust, connection, and a life that’s bigger than what you can do alone. Somewhere along the way, hyper-individual culture convinced us that needing no one was the ultimate achievement. That being self-sufficient in every area was the goal. But that mindset the one that keeps you guarded, controlled, relentlessly “strong” is the exact energy that can quickly erode your relationship. At work, that energy makes you extraordinarily successful. At home, it makes you intolerable. I see so many women struggling with this not because they’re wrong, but because no one ever taught them the tools to thrive in BOTH spaces. An adaptive trait at work, is often maladaptive at home. Meanwhile, a lot of girls are busy trying to impress other girls on IG… polishing an image instead of building a life. Somehow it became “uncool” to love men, appreciate them, depend on them, or let them be what they want to be. Unfiltered truth: If you refuse to depend on your man for anything, you remove the very thing most men find meaning in to provide, protect, and build something with you. Not because you’re weak. But because you’re worth providing for. And men feel this deeply … even when they don’t say it. Women feel it too the desire to contribute in ways that aren’t measured in dollars, but in presence, warmth, and care. This isn’t about choosing tradition or modernity and it is NOT about choosing men over yourself. It’s about the courage to want a life that includes both strength and softness, ambition and partnership, independence and interdependence. I love my independence. I love my husband. But the real power .. or even *magic* is choosing a life where both can exist without canceling each other out. A life where love isn’t a threat to your strength but the very thing that makes you stronger.

HOLY SHIT...Ai is getting out of control. For the first time EVER AI has learned to mass produce and spread AIDs. When researcher looked into how it did this they found the AI took a screenshot of Ethereum's latest price action and texted it to crypto holders.
