@JRasamat

I believe the best way for me to impact the future is to finance those creating it, and so that’s what I do.

I’ve finally landed on a profile photo: My father in his hometown of Tashkent, 1990. He’d soon go on to Israel where he’d teach himself SWE at the library using pen and paper. These days, he’s coding in FAANG org.’s and contributing to the race toward AGI. I greatly admire him.

VCs, just FYI, if you threaten to kill a founder if they lose your money, they will go on to build the most valuable company of all time

@ettingermentum Brother, the other seat is occupied by Tim Scott. The progression is that this time they’ll finally have one who’s out of the closet.

@davidgobaud @romanhelmetguy It could be an initiative to bring Israeli agricultural practices to water deprived territories, it wouldn’t matter. Look at the comments @romanhelmetguy posted… it’s not about the tech. They just hate Jews more than they love the advancement of their own people and lifestyles.

@romanhelmetguy Interesting. Tech hate goes wherever tech is. It's not just a San Francisco Democrat WMV thing. Maybe we need to recast tech as an illegal migrant so people love it. 🤔🤔🤔

Balaji: Posts about the new utopian, tolerant “Silicon Valley” he’s building in Malaysia to escape evil racist America. Every Malaysian in the QTs: “We need to kill these people as soon as possible.”

@talkitout94 @romanhelmetguy Yes, they are antisemites. Antisemites hate Israel because anti-Zionism is the most convenient way to come off principled in your irrational hatred of Jews. That’s why the USSR invented it in the first place.

This touches on a significant trend I've noticed, curious as to why this may be: third worlders fuckin hate Israel. More than they hate America. The American hate can be explained by pure envy, which makes sense. Of course you'd hate the empire. The Israel hate is something else though. There must be something with a third worlders algorithm that just brainwashes them into hating Israel.

@YCInsight The mistake is in their planning. Your funding should be to reach inflection points, not because you’re sexy enough to be able to raise. Raising maximum $ should never be your goal. That’s genuinely a more troubling trend for YC founders.

The Series A timing mistake most YC companies make: Waiting until they need the money. The best Series A conversations start at $500K ARR. "We're not raising yet. We wanted to build the relationship before we needed to." By the time you're at $1M ARR: you have 10 warm relationships. The round closes faster because the work was done earlier.

Jevons Paradox is about to hit AI harder than almost any industry we have seen before. People once thought faster internet would simply let us load the same websites more quickly. That was not even close to what happened. Faster connections created video streaming, cloud software, online gaming, video calls, social media, and entire businesses that could not exist on slow internet. Every increase in speed created new reasons to use more bandwidth. AI will work the same way. Today, we mostly use models for chat, coding, search, writing, and a few business workflows. But once intelligence becomes cheap enough, fast enough, and reliable enough, it will be built into every process that involves a decision. The biggest AI workloads probably do not exist yet. They are waiting for the cost of intelligence to fall. It will create millions of new tasks that are currently too slow, too expensive, or simply impossible.

The mega bull case for AI infrastructure would be *if* market share shifted away from certain frontier labs with 90%+ inference margins toward cheaper models, whether open-source or closed. It would increase the ROI on AI spend for end customers by increasing intelligence per dollar, which would drive incremental token demand. Margin dollars would effectively get redistributed from the frontier labs to AI infrastructure providers. The infra winners would be those with the lowest per token cost and the winners at the model layer would be those with the highest token efficiency. There are many reasons Jensen is so focused on open source, but this is likely the most important one as I think he is probably less worried about a monopsony these days. Lower margin % at the model layer = more margin $ at the infra layer all else equal. With SpaceX and Meta being vertically integrated and possessing the #3 and #4 models respectively it is more possible than ever. Note that Grok 4.5 is ahead of Fable for some useful tasks at a much lower cost, so ranking them #3 is conservative. This is not happening yet. Cheap, mostly open source tokens are likely the majority of volume today but the majority of economic value is still accruing to the most intelligent models. Might change though. We will see.

there is a very very simple reason why openai gets clowned on x now (even reddit) & why they lost a ton of public support at least with the closest power audiences. they face more negative press & vibes than any other ai company today. why? - it is not because of their product execution or execution in general. - it is not because of the owner of this platform. - it is not because of the transition from non profit to profit. - it is not because ppl are afraid of ai or job loss. - it is not because of their communication strategy or lack of potential strategy in general. - it is not because of their acquisitions. - it is not because of the lawsuits. - it is not because of their relationship deterioration with microsoft or apple. - it is certainly not because of the personality of sam altman. - it is not because of the endless drama on the personnel or the founders attempted coup. if you understand the mechanics of culture, you figure it out rather quickly. & it’s only one word. can you guess what it is?

@OnodaCapital We just need to keep gaslighting the frontier labs into thinking they’re behind. The longer we can bully them into subsidized compute the better.

What if we could cancel out urban noise pollution? Place a set of speakers that act like noise-cancelling airpods for all pedestrians simultaneously You can actually do this - and it paves the way for an "acoustics foundation model" Simulation code + proposal 👇

@signulll @mil000 Right? This is the same rhetoric that tells us MacKenzie Scott Bezos should’ve been able to cure global starvation many times over with $26B in giving. Let’s see it! At least the ideas you have in mind shouldn’t be too much to ask for!

When we launched the fund, we publicly announced a $100m fund I. We completed first close at $52m and ultimately decided to deploy whilst we keep raising. I have had so many people say, "why don't you just announce an oversubscribed $50m fund I" The logic is obvious there......but I'm so fucking close and I know when something special is bubbling, so I'm all in. I will leave no stone unturned to get this across the line (if you know me well enough, you will know I always find a way...... ethically), whilst @iwillpat @neuralunlock @mispricedd, continue to smash it out of the park with our unbelievable portfolio. At Abu Dhabi Finance week 2026 (our 1 year anniversary), we will throw the dopest fund close party at $100m. Bookmark it.

@ankurnagpal I don’t know if the advertiser appetite is quite there. NFL franchises roughly 3x’d in mean valuation since 2016. From what I can tell, you’re predicting a 50x in IPL valuations in the 10 years going forward. I dunno, I just don’t see it.

No one actually cares about Phia’s revenue. The backlash is mainly driven by a combination of three things: Phoebe is the daughter of a billionaire, she’s a beautiful woman, and she’s highly visible. That combination alone is enough to make her a target.
