A provocative glimpse into the sequel to #Hourglass - my epic science fiction story about Biohacking, seduction, and philosophy. The premise is: A Biohacker, mathematical savant, and cybercriminal with the hacker alias "Nero" must save civilization from the same comet that destroyed #Atlantis 12,800 years ago. Along the way, he'll ultimately learn (like me) that: "The only way to capture time and defeat death is through the beauty of a woman." This story is my Magnum Opus as a writer, philosopher, Applied Neuroscience Strategist, and professional Biohacker. 14-years of my obsessive quest to find real-life "NZT-48" went into this story - that has gripped me with an obsession for at least 1300 hours; voracious in its demand for caffeine, nicotine, and my rapier wordsmithing as a relentless recontour. Being a #SciFi/cyberpunk novel, Hourglass could have easily turned into a cautionary tale about our overreliance on AI and the technological dystopia that we are accelerating into. But there are already a million books and science fiction movies about that. What I thought would be a whole lot more interesting, philosophically and pragmatically, is a story about lust - about how the individual man's agency of his lust (I term this "sexual sovereignty") or lack of it could mirror cosmic cycles of civilizational destruction. So that's the story I wrote! Available now for your listening or reading pleasure in print, digital, and as an "Odyssey of the Mind" style audiobook. @elonmusk I had a lot of fun animating this audio chapter of my novel, Hourglass, about (among other things) the Ice Age desolation of Atlantis with #GrokImagine x.com/JRoseland/stat…
Jonathan Roseland@JRoseland

"Poseidon’s massive trident was broken; it protruded at an obtuse angle from the rubble of the temple. Icicles hung from its three prongs that no longer avariciously pointed heavenward. Xavier shuddered and pulled the fur layers tighter around him against the cutting cold of the gale as he raised his eyes from the trident to behold the desolation of #Atlantis." - The opening line of the sequel to my magnum opus work of fiction, Hourglass #2: The Trident, The Tachyon & The Temptress This chapter teases a provocative premise: Might the individual man's mastery of his lust mirror cosmic cycles of civilizational destruction? And that premise will stalk you throughout the novel; from a VR simulation of the Atlantean empire, to courtroom drama and shocking revelations in the Swiss Alps, to the epic conclusion of the #Hourglass saga aboard a luxurious zeppelin where a decadent “Eyes Wide Shut” party ascends above CERN. THE CYCLE | Chapter 1 of Hourglass #2 ▶️ Read or listen to audio chapter: limitlessmindset.com/blog/fiction/1…

@CoachDanGo You're OLDER than you think you are. If you live to 90 (optimistic), MIDDLE AGE starts at 30, just a few years away.

My #IQ is 108 (as estimated by some sort-of-fun logic puzzles I just completed on @intelmax_ai) Not bragging (108 is not that impressive), but what I'm proud of is that about a decade ago I did a Raven's Matrices IQ test and scored 100. So all the Biohacking and brain training is clearly doing me some good! (AND yes, as I was on Smart Drugs while taking the test--BUT I'm always on Smart Drugs) Try it yourself 🔗 intelligencemax.ai/u/JRoseland

Meaning vs Mirage: Don’t give a damn about happiness... #Happiness is the enemy of the future. Happiness is like a mirage in the desert; it eludes your grasp when you most strive for it. And yet, in my first book, I wrote about how… “I’ve found the happiness that I didn’t give a damn about…” Here I’ll break down why not giving a damn about happiness makes you happier, quantitatively and qualitatively. To illustrate the principle of “hedonic adaptation,” I’d like you to think about going on an awesome vacation... ▶️ Watch: @jroseland:f/give-damn-happiness:b" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">odysee.com/@jroseland:f/g… For every mentioned here, read: Don’t give a damn about happiness 📑 via the library of happiness hacks, #EthicalHedonism philosophy, and mental health tools to empower well-being limitlessmindset.com/Happiness-Hack… #LimitlessMindset #PersonalGrowth #Lifehacking

People who performed this simple seated calf raise, aka the soleus pushup, while sitting saw: ⬇️ 52% lower blood glucose response ⬇️ 60% less hyperinsulinemia after an oral glucose challenge They did the exercise for 270 minutes (4.5 hours) while seated. The soleus muscle sustains glucose oxidation and helps keep your metabolism active while sitting. Full video: youtu.be/HaYH46itE9g Study: PMID: 36034224

Men trying to approach women is a minefield. “55% of single 18-30 men say they haven’t approached a woman in the last year. 77% of 18-30 women say they wished they were approached more. At 41+ the trend flips and 55% of women said they didn’t want to be approached.” 86% of women say they want the man to make the first move. However, 50% of men report not wanting to approach women for fear of being seen as creepy or predatory. 17% of Americans aged 18 to 29 believe that a man inviting a woman out for a drink “always” or “usually” constitutes sexual harassment. And 82% of women reported experiencing creepy behaviour “sometimes,” “often,” or “constantly”. This is a difficult circle to square. Women face a dilemma – they are scared for their safety but also have a preference for men making the first move. Men face a dilemma – they are terrified of being seen as creepy but also know that if they don’t approach a woman, the conversation is unlikely to start. — h/t @datepsych

Agreed. Courage beats intelligence. But here's what happened when I started #Biohacking my intelligence with Dual N-Back training--the one brain game demonstrated the reliability upgrade to general intelligence... I started pursuing a meaningful path of personal growth. I could meditate without constantly beating myself up internally. I quit booze and porn for months on end. I broke through glass ceilings as an entrepreneur. I mastered a second language (and salsa dancing). I overcame the anger issue that my wife hated. I repaired estranged relationships with family members. #Intelligence is not a vanity metric. Your life will get better if you cultivate it.

I’m convinced that intelligence is overrated. Intelligent people are more likely to overthink, overplan, and overanalyze. They hide behind motion that doesn't create progress. They fear the judgment of others if they're proven wrong. The truth is that intelligence is abundant. Especially now. AI is making it a commodity. Courage is not. And it can’t be replaced. The people you admire are the ones who had the courage to act. They aren’t more talented than you. They aren’t smarter than you. They just took action when you didn’t. I often wonder how many extraordinary people wasted their entire lives waiting for permission that never came. Permission isn't granted. Permission is taken. You get to tap yourself in whenever you want. You can just do things. Courage beats intelligence. Remember that.

"Being remarkable is a tremendous asset -- whether you want to impress a date, get a promotion at work, gain new friends instantly and effortlessly, or develop greater self-confidence. It may seem like interesting individuals are born, not made – but this is not the case. Anyone willing to put forth the effort can become captivating."

@StefanMolyneux I sometimes wonder what the nefarious purpose is behind movie sex scenes, which are often wildly unrealistic, awkward, and rushed. Just try having sex under a running shower, as you've seen in a bunch of smutty movie scenes.

5 PLANTS YOUR BODY NEEDS AND NOBODY TOLD YOU: 1. Burdock root One of the most respected blood cleansers in all of traditional medicine. It helps your liver and kidneys pull waste out of your blood, and it's packed with antioxidants that calm the inflammation driving so many issues. That's why people have leaned on it for generations for skin problems, joint pain, and anything inflammatory. 2. Astragalus A deep immune tonic from Chinese medicine. Astragalus balances your immune system while calming chronic inflammation. Its properties have been used for centuries to support people through long illnesses. 3. Eleuthero Also called Siberian ginseng, this is the one for stress and recovery. It keeps your energy steady, helps regulate your cortisol, and takes the load off your nervous system. This puts your body in the most natural state for healing. 4. Mullein leaf A gift for your lungs and your lymph. Mullein soothes irritated airways, loosens stuck mucus, and helps your body clear out the respiratory tract. Cleaner lungs and better lymph flow mean your body can move waste out instead of letting it sit and feed disease. 5. Cat's claw A powerful vine from the Amazon, known for what it does against inflammation. It's loaded with compounds that calm the immune system and fight free radicals, which is why it's been leaned on for stubborn joint pain and deep gut inflammation. None of these came from a lab, my friends, and that’s what makes them so special. They’re natural, put on this earth by the almighty creator, and unlike pharma medicine, aren’t going to bring you adverse effects.

My go-to source for organic #herbs in Europe ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Biohacker Review of Indigo Herbs Locally, I haven't been able to find high-quality powdered Rhodiola and Schisandra, two of my favorite #Adaptogens for energy, mood enhancement, immunity (important during the wintertime!), and libido.
