@HeistMeup @ycsm1n This isn't dark humor. It's not even humor. There's no joke here. She's just dancing in the most cringy way possible while talking about her husband's murder.

I see the Be Kind brigade are once more hiding behind their black masks, throwing smoke bombs, screaming 'scum' at women speaking up for their sex-based rights and howling abuse at lesbians for not doing dick. #LetWomenSpeak #LesbianStrength2022

@paul_griffiths @andrewchen The IED argument is valid. But the "we should use absolute over relative change" primary argument here is absolutely ridiculous.Unless there's a good reason that administrators should suddenly be nearly twice the proportion of overall staff than they were before, this is alarming

@andrewchen It’s a lie. This chart is cherry picked data, set to a relative scale. The absolute number of teachers far exceeds *all* other gains, per another comment. Even those gains are IEP related - more services to a broader range of formerly “special ed” services.
MD@mikeydoubled

@0xparzivals @andrewchen lol perfect, looked up the underlying data - admin staff grew by 85,000 employees to 187k total. Teaching staff grew by 2x more than that (257,000 new) to 3,198k total. Just a trash chart. nces.ed.gov/programs/diges…

Can anyone explain why this is happening? I assume there’s a rational reason…

The Fed is basing monetary policy decisions on lagging indicators: employment and core inflation. Leading inflation indicators like gold and copper are flagging the risk of deflation. Even the oil price has dropped more than 35% from its peak, erasing most of the gain this year.

In this month's episode of "In The Know," ARK CEO/CIO @CathieDWood weighs in on Fed Chair Powell’s Jackson Hole speech, the impact of seasonal factors on economic indicators, and moving into a deflationary environment. Watch our brand new episode here! arkinv.st/3cH2bYE

@fem_mb @CarnegieMellon Say anything positive about JK Rowling -> hate speech. Say you hope somebody dies in excruciating pain -> NBD

@CarnegieMellon Universities love to defend their professor's "right to free expression" as long as they're just doing stuff like wishing excruciating pain on a dying 96yr old woman, but let one of them question something like gender ideology, and you'd fire them in a heartbeat.

Countries with >350% debt to GDP (public and private) tend to have a pretty tough time with the concept of positive real rates, at least for any extended period of time.

🔵Dollar strength typically has an inverse relationship with 🔴foreign treasury ownership. As USD strengthens, sovereigns sell from their deep UST holdings to get dollars for debts/trade, applying tailwinds on yields.

The top 3 foreign holders of U.S. treasuries (Japan, China, UK) all see their major currencies rapidly depreciating versus the dollar. Likewise Taiwan, who is the #10 holder.

This tweet perfectly incapsulates all that is wrong with critical social justice. Historical illiteracy coupled with a frothy mouthed desire to enact revenge on the present for the events of the distant past.

@LGrizgerald @PoorerEveryDay @CathieDWood I would love to see you get laughed out of the room while telling a group of bond traders that bund yields had increased by a factor of NEGATIVE 17 😂 Word of advice kid...don't call people morons if you don't have a clue what you're talking about.
